  1. I'm L-O-V-I-N-G JS's buttery scents: Brown Sugar Pecan Chestnuts and Brown Sugar Hot Maple Toddy The Pink Peppercorn was awesome in the lotion I tried it in, but it wasn't very strong in my candles. Since all the rest of my scents are super strong, this one just didn't fit. Oh, I really liked the Sugared Clementine Spice too, I think it would go year round (not just for the the Holidays). If you're like me, by now, you're cursing everyone who has replied. "Why, oh WHY did you have to tempt me to try more fragrances!?!?!?!" What can I say, I'm hopelessly addicted to sniffing! :embarasse
  2. They looked beautiful! Glad they sold well for you, and at a higher price that you set! :highfive: Congrats!
  3. Congratulations! Word of mouth is the best kind of adverstising, at least that is what I have found! So I would think next year, or whenever you do you're next open house, should be better! Good luck, and again congrats! :highfive:
  4. I've been asked for Skunk too, only she wanted as a gag gift. Can't even imagine where you'd begin looking for it! The oddest I've had so far was licorice, only because I can't stand the stuff!!!
  5. Wow!!!! That does look fantastic! It would go great in my kitchen as well . . .
  6. Very cute! Did you scent these christmas candyish type scents as well?
  7. I've tested this scent myself. When burning, it kind of smells like a spicey, candy corn, patchouli mixture. I really liked it, but I went a little overboard with the fall scents and had to leave that one out.
  8. Those look amazing. :highfive: I'm a big fan of "simple elegance" myself!
  9. I use Joy as well and have never had a problem with a fuel smell, unless I was trying to make a dark candle with liquid dye. I've switched to only wax dyes when doing dark colors and am pretty happy with the results. It could also be the quality of your FO, I've tested some that were just ugh! I also found that I like LX's better since the jar I use (bulb) did not burn properly with even the biggest zinc. Sorry I couldn't offer more help.
  10. Oooooh, that 70 oz sure is cute with the embeds on the top. Actually, I really like all of them, nice work! I think I may go ahead and just give it a try with just wax. I'm not going to price them too high so I don't have them left over when the season is over. I am going to make them a bit more interesting than just straight wax. I have a few ideas up my sleeve . . . just have to decide on one! I've already blended my scent, so I know I'm going to have it be a chocolate pumpkin spice something or other, haven't worked out the name yet, but it's basically a pumpkin brownie mix and smells sooooooooo delicious.
  11. Hmmm, you make a good point. Thank you for you input. I'll have to "think upon it" some more.
  12. Well, I've crunched some numbers, and if I did fill it with all 39 oz of wax, (whoa! that baby'll last forever) I could actually put a price on it between $23.00 - $24.00 and still come out pretty good. Would that be unreasonable?
  13. Yeah, those were what I was looking for to begin with, but I haven't found them locally. The one's I picked up were so cute, I didn't realize how big they were until I got them home. (Must be shoppers delusions or something:D ). Plus, I got them for only $1.00 a piece! One of these days I'll learn to say no to a cheap price.
  14. Ok, so since I'm a huge fall/halloween nut, I was shopping around today and found these terribly cute jack-o-lantern jars at our local Roses. However, they are not the same I've seen in other posts. These are by Libbey and when I got home I put one of those babies on the scale to measure roughly how much wax would be needed to fill it. My eyes bugged out of my head when the scale read 39 oz (yes, I did tare the weight of the jar out, this was the water in the jar only)!!!!!! Has anyone else ever used such a large size jar for a seasonal item? If so, how well did it sell for you? I only bought six, so hopefully they will not hang around for long. Wanted to take them to my weekend show for Halloween.
  15. Very cute, you certainly have more patience than I do.
  16. Those are so cute. I just LOVE fall! Nice job.
  17. Woo-hoo, that's fantastic news! Congratulations and best of luck to you!
  18. Wow, those look really great. One day I'll have to experiment with Gel, but until then, I'll just sit back and admire yours.
  19. Oh wow . . . what more can I say . . . wow! You've got to be a die hard deer fan to buy and use something called Clean Crap . . . or do you . . .
  20. Yep, I have to agree with the others as well. While I like their colors and quirky layouts, I like your site and your bombs much better!
  21. That looks beautiful. I really like how you have everything arranged and all the different heights to add interest. I'd definatley stop and smell if I saw a booth like this.
  22. Oooooooooh, I can almost smell them through my screen. I love the fall scents and the colors too. Waiting patiently for the leaves to turn the pretty colors of those in your pic.
  23. Those are soooo pretty! Now I want one. Would look great as a center piece in my dining room.
  24. I use Pumpkin Spice from the Jar Store and looooooooooove it. Very strong but has more of a nutty fragrance than spice.
