Check Fairway Glass on the tumblers and I think it's Fillmore on the lids. Scented Nest is a rip-off on shipping too unless they have changed their business practices.

I use a fingernail to scrape anything that spills on the clamshell and then just a kleenex. The kleenex is soft and doesn't scratch the wax if my spill is on the side and I brush against the wax squares.

I thought the same thing about tables but it wasn't realistic to take armoires to weekend shows and I have never found tall shelving that was secure enoughuse. Last Nov I saw someone with the same stacklable bookcase shelves I use (4' tall) and someone leaned against one and the top shelving unit tumbled backwards. Too many people lean for me to try it myself. And I don't want anything that forces a customer to lean down or crouch to shop. So I went with dark cloths and when the weather warms up some I think I am spraying my shelves the same color so they blend and all you notice is my products. Make sure you show us what you came up with. I'd love to see some tableless options

I have the same from Walmart. LOVE IT! A whole pot full of wax melts in 30-35 min. Time is money and that right there is worth the price.

I have shelves I use but I had added in different items at times. I used several of those round bedside tables with the long legs. I cut the legs off at 12" and stacked 2 on top of each other with the rustic lacy toppers on them and used unstacked at times. I have a couple huge cut glass martini glasses that I use for holiday shows with lip balms in them. Have used large plastic ones in the summer. I use dark table cloths that I got on ebay - the type that you just drop on and they are wrinkle resistant. Uplights behind my shelves at indoor shows and sometimes little christmas light strands in some tulle along the top edge to help with lighting at indoor shows. The only outdoor shows I have done I used a couple large bushel baskets for loose items and even hung a couple off my tent bars to get them off the ground. I have found nice shelving pieces behind grocery stores and mall stores even. Usually if you ask, they are just tossing them and will give them to you. HTH

What a weird deal. Things like this are what keeps me going with a faceless company and not a crafter turned host which is what some of these smaller companies seem to be. I pay more than I like but my site has only been down twice in 2 years and both were in the middle of the night for maintenance. Good luck to you all. I hope it all gets straightened out soon. I was doing a little searching on hosting as mine is on the high side but can't seem to get to most of the sites that were listed on one search and can't even get graceful hosting to come up. Is this a fluke or is he not hosting anymore?

They must subscribe to that philosophy of if it costs more, people will think it is better. They are sky high and their stuff simply can not be that much better quality than anyone else's. I can't believe they haven't priced themselves out of business. Even if you find a bargain, they squeeze you on the shipping to make their money back.

I have had that happen with a couple citrus scents. They dried but stayed stuck together. I ended up putting them in my car in a bag since they still smelled but I couldn't sell them like that.

I'm not sure how much lower than $3 he can go. That's pretty cheap. His min is only a dz and if you have a UPS account he can charge it to you so you are paying actual shipping.

I used to put them in smaller tubs and just store under the pouring table. But I only had about 5-6 scents that I did chunks for.

I'm not sure I understand why it matters what I melt my wax in or how much FO I choose to use in my wax but no one is checking if I'm using the correct wick, warning stickers, etc., let alone who decides what the "correct" supplies would be. It is about as effective as certifying the public that they know how to properly burn a candle and that isn't happening anytime soon.

Trade show or retail show? I don't take much to a trade show as I have never been in one that lets you do retail sales, just order writing only. All I bring is a set of all my scents in one jar style, a couple dz of each other jar style, etc. At the end I will sell my product so all I bring back is the few fixtures I bring. We have a cargo van that is used for that type of show and for a retail show we have a box truck that holds everything. Good luck!

I have a successful tumbler with a silver lid but I keep my price down by using a reasonably priced middle man. The Scented Nest is about 25cents a tumbler high and their lids are almost twice the rate from other common distributors. Having ordered once from SN, I can personally tell you that I have never been raped on shipping like I was there. Paid almost $20 on shipping for a 3# box that was about as big as 2 reams of paper stacked with no reply from the co when I questioned it. In other words, tumblers can sell well and you can keep your prices down by doing some research and not settling for the highest, easily found price.

Have you tried the Honey Graham from GreenLeaf? I think it's skin safe and the scent has gotten rave reviews in the past. Can't tell you from experience though, sorry

I started selling within a few months. I had about 6 scents and did votives and 8oz canning jars only. I added scents and then decided to change jars and hit a long testing period. Then my paraffin was discontinued and I decided to change to soy and hit another long testing period. I started craft shows in my 2nd year as they are only in the fall around here and I just wasn't ready the first year. I did a ton of research online to help identify wicks and strong scents, etc which seemed to speed up the process. THEN I got paranoid and got my tax id and insurance. Looking back, I could definitely have done thing differently but I tend to jump and then look. Good luck!
