  1. Working on it for sure Now it would be the 70/30 wax only initially since this is the culprit for the most part. Brenda
  2. I'm working on a solution for this issue. I'm trying to get a distribution/shipping point out of NJ (for wax only) that would make shipping a LOT cheaper to surrounding areas. I will let you know if it works out. Thanks
  3. OK - so that tells me what Batch you are in and what you may need to do. Pour at the temp you did, but warm the jar a little first and then cover with a box or towel or something to slow down the cooling process. You can always email me at brenda@greenleafcandlesupply.com and I will help you through any of these types of issues. I'll be keeping an eye out if you need me. Thanks Brenda
  4. Depends on the palm wax you get from what I have read. Ours requires that you add Stearic, mold release doesn't do it. Others buy a Palm that doesn't require that at all. HTH
  5. I know this will sound wierd but when did you get the 70/30? I can't tell who you are by your board name Thanks
  6. What temp did you pour this at please? I can help you with thissince this is our wax (I think). Thanks
  7. Yes - it would be harder to wick than most normal soy container waxes for sure.
  8. Now I wouldn't say that Top. We use this wax all the time for our private label customers. It was definitely tested in their glass, along with about every series of wick imagineable to figure out the best series and size to use for their oils. It is a good soy container wax and works well. It is harder, with a higher melt point than most soy container waxes because that's what it took to get rid of the frosting and be able to pour hot in a production environment. We certainly didn't throw the biggest wick at it and "hope" that it worked. It may not work for some - and I would be more than happy to assist Jeana if she really wants to try to use this wax. Even to the point of getting one of her glasses and trying to do it ourself and then getting back with our results and recommendations. Thanks
  9. What size ECO wicks did you try? I do a straight sided tumbler (very thick glass though) that is 3-3.5" width with this wax and use an ECO-10 and it works very well. It does take every bit of 4 hours to get across.
  10. What width is that container you are using? Maybe I can help. Thanks
  11. Hi everyone - thanks for all the comments. They are appreciated. Just wanted to make a couple of responses on what I have read here. #1 - Fig Dolce is not a sweet fig like people expect. It is a Green Fig - like crushed fig leaves and is a Diptyque Figuier type that is found in higher end stores. Some will love it and some won't. Just wanted to make sure everyone understands it is not a sweet fig. #2 - Shipping. The cart was adjusted to account for shipping a full case of wax. So if you are checking our site to see how much shipping is for wax - 1-3 cases will be accurate - 4 cases will not since it is hundredweight. Everyone's hundredweight pricing is different based on the contract with UPS. For some reason, we don't seem to be getting as much of a discount recently and we have been going round and round with UPS (when we can get a sales rep to call us back ) We are going to start checking with some other freight companies for this type of service. #3 - Our natural soy wax. This is our blend. We blend several different manufacturers soy to obtain these results. We slab this wax ourself. It is a 2 pour wax without a doubt - even if you get smooth tops. I know this wax because I developed the mix trying to get around what was a "spring" issue that nearly shut us down every year. Our private label candle customers will not accept frosting - even in a soy candle. Seemed like every spring, the frosting got really bad and we had to come up with something where we could have the creamy looking candles our customers expect. There is no getting around the 2 pour or taking a heat gun to the top. It is harder than most container soys which is why it frosts less. Since it is harder - it shrinks - whether or not you can see it. It does not contain any beeswax - which we found could bind up some FO's in soy and cause it not to throw well. Ours does throw well and does not leave the soy "pits" while burning. I hope this explains some things and please let me know if you have any questions about the wax. Thanks
  12. Sounds like you need to move up to an ECO-10 and try that. HTH
  13. Yes - they are close but there are slightly different notes to the Starla than Magic. Almost like a "citrus note" in the background that makes it a little more feminine to me. I promise - they are not the same FO renamed Let it cure a little bit and let me know what you think. You know me, I'll yank it if it is not working for you all Thanks
  14. Our lavender smells like the actual EO - this is not a sweet version of Lavender. Works really well IMO - of course Just wanted to put that in as an FYI. Thanks
  15. We are trying to reach UPS. Our shipping software does not seem to be reflecting UPS Hundredweight discounts. Sorry for the delay but we want to give you the right pricing. UPS has an automated system. David got lost in it on Friday Told him how to get around it so we should be responding today. Thanks
  16. I'll help you be original Here is what I did for Antahala Vanilla. This is a "type" scent made after a perfurme - Vaniglia de Madagascar. I started researching info on Madagascar Vanilla and found out that there are actually Vanilla plantations there. Antahala is actually one of the cities where the vanilla plantations are located - hence the name - Antahala Vanilla. I then researched to make sure that no one was using it for a scent or perfume and then checked for registered trademarks at the www.uspto.gov site and found nothing there. Made a business recording of when we went commercial with the name. That is typically the process we go through when trying to come up with a name that would be unique to our scents. HTH
  17. Some of them are TM by us but any of our customers that buys the oils from us are more than welcome to use those names on their finished products. Thanks
  18. Try pouring a little cooler - 165 range and cover with a box during the cooling process. Don't pour too slow or you will end up with "jump" lines. Let me know how it goes. Thanks
  19. We know the owners of Taylored real well. Real nice people. Just note that TC's 30/70 is not the same as our 70/30 - just an FYI. The 30/70 is 30% soy/70% paraffin whereas ours is 70% soy/30% paraffin. HTH
  20. No apology necessary Just trying to let everyone know why it is more expensive. We do understand that it is not for everyone. Now get back to some fun and make some lotion
  21. The lotion we carry is 100% Vegetable with certified organic ingredients in it. It is not simply a soy based lotion and is expensive for us to buy. That's why it is higher. The Body Butter has soy in it but it is a custom formulation and better than most out there in our opinion. It too is expensive to make but worth it in our opinion. Just a bit of an explanation. HTH
  22. Cure time has very much depended on the oil being used. But if you wanted to cure ALL oils for the maximum throw - I would say two weeks maximum. HTH
  23. Hi Geek - read your info below. Try pouring hotter (jump lines tell me that the wax is too cool). Everyone's pouring environment is different. Room temperature to us in our warehouse is warm, in other states it could be much cooler or just an individual preference of inside temps. Some testers are having success with slowing down the cooling process by putting a box over the candles while they cool. Some have great success right off following the directions. If you want it to pull away all around - pour into a cold jar. HTH
