  1. OK Mei-Mei (hadn't forgotten you), I finally got these done today because I had a make up class for our palm wax votives and pillars. I used our large crystal palm, 7% votive soy, and 2 tsp of our palm stearic - all to 1 lb of the palm wax. Heated to 190, heated the molds, poured mixture into pouring pot, added dye and 1 oz FO, stirred about 30-45 seconds and poured it into the votive cups (pins were heated along with the cup). Waited about 20-30 minutes for a nice hard top, poked two relief holes and second poured to the top. Waited about an hour or so until they were cool - and they pulled right out of the mold - no problem. If you bought the stearic from us, just let me know and I will send you more - just in case it got mixed up with something else by someone at our warehouse. Thanks Brenda
  2. It is a very sultry, almost masculine (but not quite) scent. It is not floral like a jasmine or such, but more amberish, musky, heavier type of oriental scent with some slight woody undertones to it. It is definitely a keeper and one that has to be experienced. HTH
  3. That's right, I get no sleep You are most welcome. I have a lot of people testing right now so I am not usually too far away. Thanks for trying our products - Brenda
  4. It's coming - I promise. We have about 35 samples going out tomorrow - 6-7 are going to Canada. (David is still up at the store at 11 PM CST packing samples). We are aiming to ship 100 more samples this next week. No promises but that is our goal. This should catch a lot of you that have been waiting so long. Again, thank you for your patience. Thanks
  5. We have temporarily taken down the offer until we can get caught up on the hundreds of requests that we have from the great people on the CT board. We will offer it again in the future but we need to get caught up after the unforeseen delays we encountered after making this offer. Thanks for your understanding
  6. When we were doing shows here in Texas - Leather was one of our top selling candles - believe it or not. We never sold one Italian Biscotti candle even though we tried. We were doing shows south of the DFW area in small country towns. Leather Banana Nut Bread Hot Buttered Rum (big seller for us now as a supplier) Fudge Nut Brownie or Hot Chocolate would be my picks HTH Brenda
  7. Love the ECO's and you are most welcome! Thanks
  8. Hi Judy - and everyone out there in Candletech land I have spent a lot of time trying to keep everyone updated on the status of the shipment of the free samples, why we were delayed approximately a month in shipping out samples because of boxes and a wax shipment delay, and first, and foremost, how I had miscalculated the sheer number of requests that we had received - especially in the first few days of the announcement - and that the time frames I mentioned in a lot of the initial emails were wrong. We have even continued to let other people request free samples long after our initial offer because of them reading all the reviews on this board (at this point I have even taken down that link from our site). This was the only board we made the offer on. We received hundreds of requests in the first few days (the 21st through the 24th). We have hundreds more after that date too. I can promise you that we are working to get them out. I have always stated that orders are our #1 priority - they do take precedent over the free samples (and yes our orders have increased because of our offer - as we were hoping they would). I can assure you that no one will be missed. I can assure you that each and every request will be filled. It was not a bogus offer and we intend to honor them all. I don't know how many different ways to apologize but I am offering all of you ALL of my apologies on the length of time it is taking and can only try to reassure you all that you will get your samples. If you want to cancel, as some have already done, that is up to you also. We will take them in date and time order - we feel it is only fair. If you placed an order, we try and look to see if you requested a sample so that we can include it. We have missed at least one that I know of but we are trying hard. We made this offer in a good faith manner and we will honor them. I appreciate your understanding and patience and your willingness to try our products.
  9. Don't give up - it is coming. We only posted the offer on this board. We have hundreds to send out - even after the 200+ that have already been sent.
  10. Well - I wouldn't move the company there - too for my southern blood (lived in Calgary, Alberta for 2 years a LONG time ago - that was enough for me). However, I'll put it on the expansion list that is growing at this point Thanks Brenda
  11. Good to know we can have some national expansion plans as we grow Thanks Brenda
  12. Maybe for our 2nd location - Brenda
  13. Read this thread - unbelievable As a supplier, we have some issues come up too (as you are all aware of on our free samples) but we would never think to blame it on the potential customer. We would have apologized profusely, immediately, explained what was going on and begged forgiveness - and probably thrown in something free when we finally got the order out. This person is out in left field IMO for sure. Sorry this person has done this to you and I WOULD recommend notifying authorities. At least there is a record of something happening in case this gets any further out of hand. His response was totally off base IMO.
  14. Just keep whipping me and I'll get it soon Sorry I missed it. Thanks for posting again.
  15. You PM'd me and I didn't answer? I apologize. I really try and look out and make sure I reply to everything. I've never had anyone say that our Cucumber Melon smelled floral - but then again, not everyone has the same nose. Definitely try it in wax and let me know what you think. I'll be interested to hear. Magic of India is a definite changer and is very representative of why we say not to judge an oil OOB where you are just getting the top notes of the scent. Again - please accept my apology and feel free to "shoot me" if you don't get a response Thanks
  16. Suppliers gave up on it because IGI has raised prices to a ridiculous price to most of the us in the area Michael
  17. If you are far from us - shipping can be big $$ - UPS just keeps raising prices because of diesel fuel costs. If you can get to 200 lbs, shipping prices drops by about 20% or so with UPS Hundredweight. Our cart doesn't calculate hundredweight pricing but I can send you a quote if you would like. Just need your zip code. Keep in mind that these are 60-65 pound cases - not 50 lbs like a lot of them out there. Thanks Brenda
  18. Never seen this either except once in an all soy candle. Wick might be too hot. Can you give me some details please on the burn, melt pool, etc.? Thanks Brenda
  19. Hey - I know how it is. I'll put in a surprise in this one so it will be worth it for you. (Be sure and put that this is "Mizzbizzyb" in the comments section of our cart.) Thanks
  20. Please PM me your email address so I can look into this. We give free 1 oz samples with every order over $25 and you get to select which one you want. If your order didn't reach that amount - send me your email anyway - I can't have my customers . I'll make the hurt go away Thanks Brenda
  21. Thanks - let us know how it turns out. It does need a little cure time - it's 70% soy Thanks Brenda
