  1. I so admire these types of swirls, great color combo.
  2. Thanks Purple! Just put some of the Nana's Apple Butter (had from before) in a candle tonight. Smelled up the entire house, roomates said too strong after awhile lol. Havent tried burning yet, still molding, think I messed up the color - oh well. Have some more on order besides the 1 oz now Can't wait to try the rest!
  3. I gather they're saying M&P is the more expensive way. slscott said anywhere from 1.25 to 3.60 for M&P, while CP has been from .17 to .83
  4. Just ordered some fragrance oils from JS because of their sale. If only I had taken advantage of the previous BOGO sale the week previously Havent had the chance to try some of these in soap, candles, or B&B so suggestions are welcome. Chai Tea - Already tried this before so it was just an upgrade to a larger size. If someone hasnt tried this, I suggest getting a sample ASAP, its delicious! Almond Marizpan - The combination sounded divine from the website. OOB not sure on this one just yet. Very very sweet and I dont detect much almond. Hot Buttered Rum - Another that sounded divine from description. OOB a warm pleasant scent thats like a butterscotch. Mulberry - Been trying out various ones from supplier to try and find one I liked as much as Mulberry. OOB it smells good but not as strong on the pink, gaga, sweet scent as Brambleberry. Hyacinth Chula Orchid - OOB smells DIVINE! GREAT floral combo, hard to place which florals but with my nose this is normal. Really like this one! Peanut Butter Cookie - Smells good OOB but hoping it will be more peanut buttery and slightly better in something. Becky sent me SIX samples: Fantasia de cioccolata - Thought there might be chocolate in here but dont really smell it much. Wasnt as impressed as others by this one OOB. Its kind of berryish and I'm burned out on those but there's something else there. Bear Claws - Never saw this on the website, its hard to place, berryish kind of, but there's moer there and it's warmish. Like it better than the fantasia ya hoo! Berrie lemonade - This smells like a GREAT lemonade, strong!! delightful berry creme - OOB its okay, not the best berry scent Ive smelled Green tea - Smells very good and clean! Enjoy the chai tea more but both of them may not end up being a bad thing SUmmer Splash - Smells very good, not overly sweet or floral or berryish, but a sort of mixture between all three.
  5. LOL Sorry!! It smells similar to my nose, but you can't go by mine as my scent ability is not that strong. BUT I would say the brown sugar pecan isnt icky and is stronger, nicer somehow
  6. I got a sample of this one as well and wasn't overly impressed OOB. Hopefully it does better in whatever I end up using it for. I can't smell the chocolate too much but there is an undertone. Maybe because it smells kind of berryish and I'm overdosed on those scents lately. Let me know how it turns out in the finished product!
  7. The one time I ordered from them they messed up my order but then made it right, so it's all good. Some of the scents were good enough and others not recommended. I ordered manuf. grade of all. Their Jasmine Blossom is a good Jasmine a little on the perfumy side but still smells great. Kahlua is good but hard to come out in soap without smelling more of the 'soap'
  8. If you're craving a sweet scent, try the Van. Butter Crunch you bought, it's excellent!! Chai tea is amazing in soap, one of my favorites - if not favorite. Brown Sugar Pecan is to die for too.
  9. It looks like a BEAUTIFUL start!!! I am so sorry about the results, I hope everything turns out well, just said a prayer!
  10. Ive tried the cotton ball but I'd be careful if I were you - BOTH times it discolored my soap in spots
  11. I would lower the cocoa butter to about 5% Anything over that can promote a brittle and possibly cracking bar. If you're lowering the percentage of that I'd add another hardening oil maybe. Crisco can help with hardening but it needs support to do so, from my experience anyway.
  12. Sounds to me like it could have been a false trace. Those usually dissapear if you keep stirring, and that's a way to tell whether it's a legit one or not. A true trace won't dissapear. Lard and some other hard oils as they're cooling can cause the false trace
  13. You could always just be safer than sorry, have the best of both worlds, and do both Many do this
  14. I would put a space in between the button on the side navigation bar to make it easier reading. This also can stretch it a bit and make it look like even more content. Putting the paragraph code will do it rather than the standard break code....unless it's an image map? If that's the case and you designed the image map yourself it's easy to seperate a bit on a paint program and will happen in a jiffy! I LOVE the top banner - great stuff!!! Gorgeous! On the scent description list, the number code needs to be fixed, after 3 it's justified more to the left side, and there is a minor typing error at the bottom: If you know of a scent you want and don't see please email of call me with request! Should be: email oR call me with A request. The colors are beautiful and I really love the checkered background, great country, warm page!!
  15. Candle and Bath Barn Never good with names...:rolleyes2
  16. I Love WeSellCoffee!! I get the ones that say fresh baked and you don't have to buy those by the bundle. Erin
  17. Yep, there's the exact name of the second one, couldn't place it before
  18. Thanks for the suggestions guys! Haven't ordered from either of those. Browsing Brighterscents, they look more than reasonably priced and with a very good selection. Candlewics I'll have to try as well, have heard of them before but never got around to exploring.
  19. I LOVE the brown sugar pecan and chai tea!! Havent used in candles but the chai tea in soap is divine, warm, a perfect body scent! The Vanilla buttercreme is amazingly strong OOB so I'm sure you'll like it in candles as well, Ive heard good things on this one used that way.
  20. It's also in most other small pharmacies like Walgreens, Eckerd, CVS, etc, doesn't have to be Walmart. Pricey there though
  21. Havent tried Snowtop. As for the JS, the Chestnuts and Brown Sugar is good but I decided not to carry it, as I favor their Brown Sugar Pecan more. I'm betting you'll love it!
  22. Hey guys, thought it'd be better to rely on those more experienced than myself to find what I'm looking for. Nothing complicated here, but I'm seeking the following: Lemongrass Sage: I have one from a supplier and while it's an excellent scent (from Bear), it's not strong enough on the herbal notes for me. I had a soap one time from another soaper and THAT is more of the smell I'm looking for, hard to describe. Mulberry: Brambleberry is discontinuing thiers and I rarely order FO's from them any longer. Just ordered some from JS...is this a close comparison? If not, who has something similar and strong? Rosemary: I rarely see this one in my normal suppliers. Rosemary blends so well with much....a straight rosemary suggestion?? Ginger: I don't mean the spicey ginger, or the ginger lilly (although I'm looking for a drop dead of that one too that rivals Brambleberrys - they're discontinuing their gingerlilly too ), but the fresh, strong smell of real ginger, herb style. I make herbal tinctures with ginger and when you're cutting it up, it's so fresh, strong, and has an AMAZING smell. Anyone know of a straight FO that captures this? And heck, while we're at it, a coca cola and hemp/weed smell that's convincing? Have the cannabis from SOS and while I think it resembles hemp, not many others do when smelling it from the soap. Thanks in advance!!
  23. Brambleberry has a GREAT Cinnamon Bun in their candles section, it actually makes the mouth salivate. Just Scents has 2 versions - I have their regular "Cinnamon Bun" and don't suggest it. It's good but it only smells like cinnamon and no frosting or sweetness whatsover. The second cinnamon bun on there even states it's unlike the other one and has more of a bakery scent, but I havent tried it yet.
