  1. Hi Tara, In GL and TN 70/30 Scented Beans Strawberry Shortcake, Rose, Almond Biscotti, Raspberry Cream and Heavenly Cinnabun throw GREAT!! All of these are definitely "must haves" in 70/30 (all at 1 oz. pp). Strawberry Shortcake is incredible. I always get 2 lbs. at a time with this one, sells great. Rose also sells well and is very strong.
  2. Another Hungarian Lilac lover here (RE/AH). Throws great in TN 70/30 and in C3.
  3. Candlescience has the 16 oz. square mason :smiley2:
  4. Thanks sisterkaren for the review on Peaks German Chocolate Cake, have had a sample for 6 months (forgot I had it) and never pored it till I read your review; it is wonderful !! Smells just like my grandma's house did when she baked her German Chocolate Cakes when I was a little girl. Wonderful memories, one of those warm and fuzzy ones. Nice and strong in C3 wax. Off to order a pound of this one, definitely a keeper!!
  5. Very Nice!!! Really like the jar and your labels.
  6. Umm.... I used an ECO 6 in the 8 oz. square mason (height 3.5", diameter 3") with C3 before switching over to the CDN 14.
  7. Have been using 1 tsp. CO in my C3 for about a year now. Never make them without it anymore. Use about a case a month. Never any problems with it and C3, also have not had any hidden air pockets since using it. I don't use color and use 1 oz. FO pp wax. I don't do second pours or poke relief holes ( I pour at around 140 to 150). Use to pour hotter but found this is the temp. that works best for me. Store my CO at room temperature.
  8. Haven't tried that one, getting ready to order from Ky (need more Toasted Marshmallow ) will get a sample of the Creme Brulee to try.
  9. I use a CDN 14 or HTP 105 with C3 wax in my 8 oz. square mason jar, never any higher. HTP 105 is a little hotter than CDN 14 but not as hot as a CDN 16. Haven't had to use a CDN 16 yet in my square mason with C3 wax. Like Stella said, I don't expect a full melt pool till the 2nd or 3rd burn. My jars tend to burn hotter in the bottom half, and if I try to rush the full melt pool, they always get too hot the bottom half of the jar. I burn mine 3 or 4 hours at a time.
  10. I had my testers compare Tri State with Candlescience a couple of years ago and they picked CS as the best one. I personally liked them both but use the one from CS since they are so close to me. Hard choice on that one, I couldn't decide which one was better, so I let someone else choose.
  11. I use the CDN 14 or the HTP 105 (which burns a little hotter than the CDN 14, but not as hot as a CDN 16) only 2 I have needed with the C3 in the square mason.
  12. Peaks German Chocolate Cake in C3 Very Strong!!! Strawberry Shortcake (SB) in TN 70/30 in the bedroom
  13. Just started test burning this one myself in C3 and agree, it is great!! Also from ICS: Carmel Nut Cluster and Green Apple are both super strong in C3 (am using HTP 105 in a sq. mason for both)
  14. I like Peanut Butter Cookies from ICS.
  15. For the 464, a CD 10 (perfect so far) waiting for my CDN 10's to get here to compare (normally use CDN's). This wax has a lower melt point than the C3. Tried a CDN 14 like I use in the C3 and it got way to hot in the bottom half of the jar. For the C3 I use either a CDN 14 or HTP 105, never anything else. The HTP 105 is a little hotter than the CDN 14. Get my 464 and C3 from CS also, they are GREAT!!!!
  16. Congratulations, Nice when things work out right. Also testing the 464 (just comparing it to the C3 I use now for my soy line), and got great advice for a wick for my square mason jar from Kristi and it is working well also. This wax sure is easy to work with and cures very fast, throwing well in 48 hours. Another to Kristi!!! (logcabinmomma) for the help.
  17. I use GL 70/30 and C3 wax so not sure what CDN wicks you would start with since you are using a different wax. I would start with CDN 16 double wicked myself and go from there. Agree with double wicking this size jar with soy wax, will be tough to single wick. Your right, full MP in 1 hour is too hot. You may want to do a search for the wax you are using to see if you find any suggestions. Hang in there, you'll get it.
  18. CDN22 is the largest I have seen on SB and also on JBN that also sells CDN wicks, may go higher, just have not seen them. Some soy waxes are harder to burn than others (don't know which one you are using), testing like you are doing is the only way to see what works with the wax you are using. I have never used the HTP 1212, so I don't know if the CDN22 burns hotter or not. You can try them and see since you can order a small amount from SB. Agree with Tereasa on the FO's she mentioned , they are excellent (in GL 70/30) don't know what other waxes they work in.
  19. Hi, Have been getting mine from Scented Bean for 2 years now and only buy them from there. Great service and they will send small shipments through the mail. Ship fast also. A 4" diameter jar is good size, are you trying to single wick or double. Only asking because SB only goes up to a CDN22. If you are using soy, don't think that will be big enough to single wick unless you are using a low melt point soy.
  20. Monroe, NC right outside of Charlotte
  21. wil1434 Your Welcome mizbizzyb Agree, SB is GREAT!!! Forgot: :lipsrseal LOL
  22. I use CDN 12 in most scents in the 12 sided Classic jar, so for the JJ maybe a CDN 10 or 12. I used the JJ for a short time before changing to the square mason but didn't keep my notes. I think I used HTP 93 and LX18 or LX20 before I switched over to the CDN wicks. Can't remember if I tried the CDN wicks in the JJ. I would probably do a side by side test with a CDN 10 and 12 in the same scent to see how they do.
  23. Hi, SB stands for The Scented Bean. Forgot to mention their Strawberry Shortcake is fabulous in the 70/30. (HTP 105 in square mason). Have enough Tn 70/30 left to pour one more and will do this FO tonight. Now to try and figure out how to insert a link to there site...
