  1. very pretty...bet it smells great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Ok, I took 4oz away from my original 36 oz of water, my math says it is about an 11% discount, but then again, I s%^% at math I am going to do another one tonight, I just can't believe how much more aged the soap already feels at that small of a variance Thanks for the compliments Elle
  3. OK, finally went out on a limb and tried a water discount. The first soap is Pearberry, with Parsley for color, this FO flopped on me the first time I used it last year, somehow I got it to behave this time, I poured it in with my superfatting butter, it still wanted to misbehave but I refused to give in. Also, made sure not to use stick blender after adding FO. It got pretty thick on me. I added the parsley in the mold rather than pot so I could get more of a topping effect than a swirl all the way thru. It smells divine, I still love this FO after all this time...love the way this soap looks also, have to find this FO by another supplier that behaves better...I can't take the stress wondering if it will turn out 2nd soap, is Love Spell, did the discount again and poured at thin trace but what was odd my main pot stayed thin but my soap in the cup with color got thicker...Oh well, it smell awesome to...and I am getting sick of Love Spell but it is still a great seller... With the water discount I can already tell the difference in the soap, it is more firm and feels like it has been curing for a couple of weeks. Thanks for looking Michelle
  4. to make transparent soap you don't add glycerin, it is a similar method to CP but has alcohol to make it clear etc, plus there are some other differences. To make glycerin soap base like you purchase from a supplier you would need other agents that are not necessarily soap, they are chemicals or some other agent to cause the base to foam like soap. I know there is a lot more to these processes that I am not putting here, but I am just trying to make a distinction between transparent soap and the glycerin. What I am assuming is you for some reason have a lot of bulk glyerin and you were tring to utilize it by making your own base but I don't know how that is accomplished or if it is possible by actually making soap...BUT I COULD BE WRONG
  5. Well it would have helped your search if you weren't looking for Toe Die For, but to die for Sorry about the miss spelling:p
  6. Has anyone ever used parsey in soap for coloring? I have a ton I grew this yer and would like to incooperate in soap, I do know it has a tendency to fade but what I am really worrying about is it rotting or turning brown in soap. I saw some in soap book that looked gorgeous, they used finely ground parsley, I loved it, very light celery color Michelle
  7. You either order the boxes from USPS.com or pick some up at the post office, you can only ship FLAT RATE in the boxes they have with flat rate right on them, you cannot ship flat rate in just a regular priority box. Then when you take to PO to ship they already know it is flat rate by the box. It works great for carrier pick up as well, especialy if someone is unsure of the weight of something (which should not be any of our problems) etc. Michelle
  8. da, for some reason when I read the heading I thought it said Oatmeal Lavender, I bet that sells wonderful Michelle
  9. Very nice, love the colors, did you use oatmeal FO and Lavender EO or just the EO and oats on top? Michelle
  10. I don't color the cyclo, still sell great, but I did see candleman had a thread this week on here about being able to color cyclo. I'm in KY, I order mine from Toe die For Michelle
  11. Nope, I don't use an inhibitor, and I have had no problems with fading colors or ones bleeding into white etc. HTH Michelle
  12. I thought about taking pics while the WHEELS WERE FALLING OFF, but then I went into instant adrenaline on getting it cleaned up (so I could make it look like it never happened) great away of making myself feel better DENIAL LOL Michelle
  13. And all this time I have been heating the oil up for my castile, in fact just got done with a batch on Sunday. Thanks for the time saving info, I guess I thought the oils had to be warm to work Michelle
  14. I got rid of the confusion and just make a cyclo spray that I market as a 4n1, hair glosser, body spray, foom spray and linen spray, it sell very well and people love having one product do so many things. I just could not get it together with polysorbate, alcohol etc, I got very frustrated but love them now with the cyclo HTH Michelle
  15. OMG, those look great, I have to get some Sandlewood Vanilla, I am getting ready to put an order in at Sweet Cakes, perfect timing. I have got to learn to pour my soaps at lighter trace so I can get those kind of swirls. Love em' Michelle
  16. I don't know, it almost seems as if the fragrance oil had water in it, I have never had any kind of oil dissolve my salts. Have you used the FO before? Maybe you could call the supplier and ask if it is cut with anything. Sorry I am no more help, I know you are probably ready to SCREAM!!!!! Michelle
  17. I took my grated soap from a ruined batch and put in bowl with a light misting of water and microwaved it, in one minute bursts as not to burn the soap (pew), and stirred each time, it worked great, once it was melted I put in mold and let it set up took out and cut. I was relunctant to do as some things I read kind of made it sound hard, but actually it was the easiest thing I have done regarding CP soap HTH Michelle
  18. Ok, I go into my shop and decide to get a head start on my loofah scrub bars since I had some extra time today. Everything was going good, got my caps poured in my molds, had the loofahs in, and started adding soap. Well, stupid me, for some reason I pushed on some of the loofahs and they busted the capped ends and soap goes everywhere, and then, as if that was not bad, I panicked and started moving other molds, which broke more caps and I had at least 4 lbs of soap running on my counter (this was M&P). And this wasn't just soap, there were poppy seeds, pumice and oats in it, AND Eucalyptus & Peppermint EO. It was terrible, it seemed the more I tried to rectify the mess the worse it got. To say the least, I didn't have any xtra time after that UGGGGGGHHHHHHH and it was a very expensive day. Sometimes I wonder what I am thinking when I do things, the good thing is I won't do it again, already came up with a way to make sure it won't happen again. Do you feel my pain? LOL Michelle
  19. I love it, I can almost smell it. If it as good as your Angel Wings it will go like hotcakes Michelle
  20. For outdoor shows take some kind of hand sanitizer, I do a show in the summer and fall at the same place and the potties don't have sanitizer, sinks or soap YUK. Take a Calculator, plenty of pen and order form if you plan on taking any orders Take a nail file, I always break at least one nail and end up with a jagged edge that drives me nuts Take coffee beans ro reset smeller (noses) Take tape, scissors, glue stick, extra card stock (for signs etc), I also take popsicle sticks to give out samples. Paper towels and windex or outdoor shows (can you tell I do a lot of outdoor stuff?) Thats all for now!!!!! Michelle
  21. I have used all of the methods mentioned but had no luck. Finally, purchased the huge jugs with the pumps, so I use a big funnel to pour into jug, while it is still warm after mixing in mixer, then I can fill each bottle from the pump. It works so well. You should have seen the different contraptions my hubby so painstakingly made to try and make my lotion ordeal go smoother. I get the jugs from MMS, now I can fill 1 bottle at a time or 30. HTH Michelle
  22. I love them, I have looked for a mold like that for along time for a few of my soaps. What did you use. I am assuming that is CP. I think they look gorgeous. Michelle
  23. Thanks for the compliments, I can't believe how good the chocolate coconut and pumpkin bars sell around here, the rose I am keeping for myself since it was my first real rebatch and I think I can do better the next time. We tested the bubble bars, they are awesome, tons of bubbles, my kids loved, even the 9 mos old, I let her get in w/ my 3 yr. old they had a blast, and lav/van really helped them unwind b4 bed. Michelle
