  1. Very nice...that is the color I make my Angel, and yes it should turn tan!
  2. I used to make that exact loaf when before I made CP and it was scented Ocean Mist, sold a ton. I called mine Wildcat Wash because we live in KY and everyone loves the Wildcats. Looks very pretty...
  3. So at what point are you adding the Wilton Colorant? I have not had much luck with them, they just seem so messy, my hands are a mess etc. Yours look awesome...Please share
  4. They look awesome...I would buy them for Vday, bet they smell yummy. My rebatch turned out terrible, I have to try again with a gazillion scraps I have. I just love those colors
  5. I purchase mine wholesale from a CT member, because I do Soap and B&B, I sell them for $1.50 for 1 or 5 for $6.50, they are a little over an ounce. They are far better than anything you can get in a store, they are not just plain tarts they look more like food. Now, I don't have a store, just my site and shows but if I did I would sell them for more to defray my overhead. Tarts are big sellers for me, I sell the warmers and tarts, I always include a free tart with the purchase of a warmer. Everything that has been said is true, you should reconsider recalculating your cost etc because even if it is a hobby you could actually end up losing $$$ and what will your customers say when you have to raise your prices by 25-50% after you are already in the ballgame?
  6. WOW...love the color combos, bet it smells great. Your soaps are always beautiful!!!!
  7. I can smell it from here, looks great, love the colors...
  8. those colors are fantastic, can't wait to see it cut!
  9. Gorgeous as usual, I have tons of soap to make next week as well...dreading it in one way and excited in the other
  10. Your store is absolutely beautiful, I love the clean lines, and it looks as there s plenty of room for shoppers to get around with out tripping on a 1000 things. Congrats on a successful opening, it looks as if you put a lot of work into your store
  11. People are nuts. I have tons of people think my soap is cheese or fudge, one dumb@^& actually bit into soap, others think the bath salts are rock candy or crystals, bath bombs are jaw breakers, tarts are cupcakes. I have had people buy tarts also and come back wondering what they actually bought...go figure. I am basically done w/shows as well, just have my open house and a small thing for my sisters work. I am so glad not to be dealing directly with the public for a short while:cheesy2:
  12. I do have Shea but I am making the Holy Grail, it is one of my bestsellers, I have a wholesale account that sells it, she just called today with a order and needs it ASAP in her shop in Colorado, she said it has been flying off the shelfs. I think I am going to just put a quick order in for Ewax, I don't want to compromise my recipe so she may just have to wait a couple of more days to get the right thing...RIGHT?????
  13. Thanks Bunny, I don't have those but I do have Ceytyl Alcohol, will that work? I should have grabbed the others when I went over to Dee's to get the Cetyl...
  14. What can I sub for emulsifying wax in emulsifed sugar scrub...
  15. In my experience, FO will not make them fizz, it is the witchazel or liquid color making them fizz, try pulling back on it, and add last. A little fizz won't ruin your bombs but to much WH will flatten them...Good luck
  16. Is it M&P? What is the process for whipping
  17. I have been banging my head with this one as well, tried 1000 different ideas. I wanted to do bath melts with the icing, first made the melt recipe and made the tiny cupcakes out of it, then made another batch of the melt recipe for the icing but could not get it to pipe out, I tried making a butter mixture and piping on,, it did work to some extent but not exactly what I was looking for. There was a link to a site in a thread that had the melts and looked like they made a merinque (sp?) icing. Please keep throwing ideas out there. BTW: can you whip M&P soap?
  18. I have really only been consistently successful with jojoba spheres, you can get a multi-pack at fromnaturewithlove.com
  19. If itis only 4 oz. then you should only add about a 1/2 tsp of B&B safe FO. HTH
  20. thanks, I will give it a try...any preference on which clay. I did mean M&P
  21. I have a male customer who wants a glycerin shaving soap, anything you would suggest to make it a creamy lather? Anyone make one?
  22. Ummm...I definitely need one of those when you come up in a couple of weeks:D
  23. You can even add the liquid to the baking soda and other additives first, then add the citric acid last and you should get no fizzing. To much liquid will cause cracks and too little will cause powdery bombs...
