  1. Does anyone know if NG Spiced Cranberry smells anything like BCN's Spiced Cranberry?
  2. So far I have tried Buttercream, Ultimate Vanilla, Carrot Cake, and Blackberry Jam. And they have been super strong in soy. Susan
  3. Does anyone have instructions on how to make votives with this plastic mold and would like to share them with me? Thanks! Susan
  4. There've been a few things I've wanted to order from them, but once I saw how much shipping was going to be, I said forget that. And I'm in PA, so shipping should not be that much! So in order to get "correct" shipping you have to jump through hoops (select pickup and then ask for an invoice with correct shipping)? And if they know there's a "calculator issue", why are they continuing to charge their customers for the inflated shipping cost? They should charge them the correct price, maybe with a small handling charge included, but not ripping them off like the way it seems they have been (based on others' experiences mentioned here). I'm glad that some have had good experiences and are not getting ripped off with shipping, but you shouldn't have to know some inside secret to knowing how to get billed for reasonable shipping charges. And it seems some have even tried jumping through those hoops and questioning the charges and it got them no where. And this is not a tirade against Bizzy, I'm glad she's had good experiences with them, so please don't think this is an attack against you. It's a tirade against companies that have broken shipping calculators, but don't bother to make things right with their customers. This is a company I won't spend my money on, and this is all just my opinion.
  5. Just wondering if anyone's been using these scratch-offs at their fall shows and how successful they've been.....I'm thinking about ordering some to try out. Susan
  6. Anyone have a good supplier for a BBW dupe for Jasmine Vanilla? I had gotten a free sample from someplace when I ordered something else, and of course they don't carry it anymore. It was an awesome dupe, too. Thanks for the help!! Susan
  7. I am a new DayStar customer, and I have to say that Stacy's FOs are out of this world. I have been searching for an awesome Buttercream and several people recommended DayStar. So, even though I didn't want yet another FO supplier, I went ahead and tried the Buttercream. And I think I also bought 2 sampler packs! Well, I am hooked!! I haven't gotten around to pouring all the samples I bought, but the ones I have poured are great! I want to try some more of Stacy's FOs, and stock up on some of the ones I've tried, so a DayStar sale would be just the perfect fall treat!! Just don't tell my husband! I have to empty out the boxes and put bottles away before he gets home so he doesn't know I've bought more candle stuff!! Susan
  8. Snowtop's Fresh Linen is nice. And so is NG's.
  9. She said it's hazardous to say crust in Italy because it can mean different things.
  10. How about oven fresh? Freshly baked? Grandma's House? I'm no good at this either.
  11. Thank you very much for your tips and advice!!
  12. Impact-mfg.com also has them. https://www.impact-mfg.com/store/closeup~pid~670.asp
  13. Just wondering if anyone uses the plastic 6-pk votive mold. How does this compare to making votives with the metal votive molds/wick pins? Are votives easier to make with the plastic mold or doesn't it matter? Do you think votives turn out nicer with the plastic mold vs. the metal (I know, it's going to depend on the maker and how experienced you are, etc.....)? I currently use the metal molds and was thinking about trying this, but had no clue what they were like or how they worked. Any opinions or advice out there? Thanks for your help! Susan
  14. Try either NG Gingerbread or Snowtop's Gingerbread.
  15. I would try either NG Gingerbread, or Snowtop's Gingerbread. They are both spicy, IMO.
  16. ICS' Spiced Cranberry is very, very similar to BCN's, IMO. Not sure about how long shipping would take from ICS for you, though.
  17. Thanks for the recommendations!! I think I'm going to try a sampler pack from Daystar for now. Although I'm having a hard time deciding on just 5 scents for a sampler pack!! I might need 2!! And as much as I hate to get hooked on a supplier that is so far away from me (I'm in PA), hopefully shipping charges won't be too bad, and I'll finally find a BC that I like! Millcreek looks like they have a lot of great scents, too, so I might try them out also. Thanks again for the suggestions!!
  18. I've tried several different Buttercreams, but just can't find the exact one I'm looking for. I want one that smells like Yank**'s Buttercream, and NG OOB smells like it, but I can't get a good strong throw in soy with it. Anyone have any suggestions for a good Buttercream "Y" dupe for soy? Thanks for the help!! Susan
  19. Not that I need another candle board to read and spend time on (I spend enough time on this one ), but what are the "popular" candle boards?
  20. I have never used FOH, but I have tried a lot of JS FOs. I have experienced great customer service with JS, and most of the oils I've tried from her have done good for me in soy. Not all of them, but a lot. And she has great sales. It helps that she is located in OH and I'm in PA, so shipping is reasonable also. If you do a search for FOH or JS, you'll find a TON of info here on them.
  21. I don't know if this helps or not, but I'm pretty sure that even though it looks like it is the scent name and then $0.00, the $0.00 part does not show up in the dropdown menu on the website. At least that's how mine is anyway. If I go into my admin area to edit my dropdown, mine looks the same as what you're saying - scent name and then zero price. But that's not how it is on my website. Once you are done creating the dropdown, you can go into your homepage to see how it is going to look. Just go to the upper left hand side of the page, and you'll see "go to homepage". Hope this helps.
