I currently make my own but when I started I used the lip balm base from Nature's Garden.  I actually formulated my own from that one as it's simple and really nice.

Do you use castor oil in your recipe

YESSSSS!!!  By far one of my favorite lemon scented oils.  It’s just got that wow factor and something in it that once put into wax is stunning!  Just so expensive versus others.

I'll have to order next time WSP

has a 30% off sale. Happy new year 🎊

The Orange You Sweet from PFO is by far the strongest smelling orange fragrance I have used to date!  It also doesn’t smell chemically and has staying power and excellent scent throw in parasoy melts.  HTH!

Have you tried WSP Hello Sugar

    by chance?

It's one of Candlewic's custom blends. They say it is for pillars and votives, but it makes an excellent tart wax. It can handle a high fragrance load, has a nice opaque appearance, and is nice and hard for shapes or clams. It can get a little bumpy on the surface as it cools, but nowhere near as bad as KY 133.

THank you ! I'll try it out ! Any FO I should try from CandleWic

Ive only been making melts lately

    Some of my suggestions:

    Lemon Sugar from Just Scent

    Lemon Curd from Rustic Escentuals

    Lemon Pucker from Bittercreek

    Luscious Lime from PFO

    Key Lime from Peak

    Orange You Sweet from PFO

The Orange You Sweet fragrance oils is so true and authentic to an actual orange that it’s not even funny!  I left a review as well as a few others and someone else even mentions that it’s a needle in a haystack!  I will always stock this one. Here is the link to it so you can read my review if you would like.

Then last but not least I absolutely love the Grapefruit & Mangosteen from Candle Science.  It is a really nice one. Their Citron & Mandarin is also a good one.  Anyways, HTH!  😇

Have you used Orange you Sweet in melts or candles , how does the HT do + does it have lasting power ? TYIA

    container: pint jar

    cure time: 2 weeks

    wax melts

    wax: CBL 141

    FO load: 8%

    cure time: couple days

Sarah, where do you get CBL 141 wax ? Is it specificly for melts ?

I love and tried some of their f.o.s but many just weren’t strong enough in my wax.

Belle was so nice but light as well as bergamot tobacco . Guinevere’s attraction was fantastic, medium throw in my wax. I cure my wax for a longer period.

I thought to but these lighter scents in perfume and sprays as to not waste them because they are so lovely. Maybe some of you have had better luck?

Which wax do you use ?

Thanks @soshiegirl!  I have used a few different sugar cookie FO’s from JS, a few from ICS and have 2 from NG and then Sugared Vanilla Shortbread from CW.  As well as SCR from FB.

It wasn’t until I tried the Sugar cookie from Pure Fragrance Oils that I fell head over heels in love 🥰  LOL!  Its just such an authentic sugar cookie and so thick, rich and creamy!  You ladies have to try it!  Hands down my favorite sugar cookie!   I’ve never tried anything from Northstar Soshie.  Quality wise who would you compare them to?  Actually @Trappeur PFO also has the Vanilla Noel Moonworks FO!  And I like that one a lot too!  I know you love your VBN scent.  😇

Do you have a link for pure fragrance oils sugar cookie

I can't find it on line for some odd reason 😂😂

OOB it's sweet and salty to me, gets toasty essence with an Eco wick. One of my family's

favorite bakery scents.  Great to blend as well.

The only oatmeal cookie I have tried so far that actually has the warm baked cookie note, a lot are very spice focused.

Oh okay.  I am looking to start making little body sprays.  Do you by chance know where I can get a good price on the small .5 oz spray bottles?  I got one from the swap and I can tee all who sent it.  I have to post about it on the swap page.  😬

Have you checked Speciality Bottles  or SKS ?

Sorry it took so long to respond.

I'm so happy to hear your doing ok

what a wonderful attitude you have . Tell me more, are you not

    getting chemo anymore? What

happy pills  & why. Are they for pain ? I hope this isn't intrusive , maybe you'd prefer I message you

I won't be offended, I'm just concerned.  So what's this new

Hmmm. I’ve sold it after a month and told people to wait a couple of weeks — that it’s very fresh. Feel best holding it for 2-3 months. And personally like it after 5!!!

Thank you ! Do you make melts or wax with this FO ?  I've never ordered anything from LS, maybe I should try a few . Thanks again!

Hi @kandlekrazy, do you mind telling us which companies you buy your liquid dye from? If not, I understand. I haven't tried liquid dye yet but I think I will because it seems like it would be more accurate when weighing. I generally make small batches of candles or wax melts and with my dye blocks I just shave off some wax and sometimes it's not heavy enough to register on my scale so I can't easily duplicate colors.

I've used a few liquid dyes from

Lonestar ( hot pink & aqua ) and

    I've had no issues

I really like the wax and wicks from that site. Wood wicks get a bad rep, and I having tested other brands, I can certainly understand why. These ones work well for me and are very reliable from test to test. I used to use cotton wicks in the beginning, and I found it difficult to find the perfect wick size for every fragrance. There was too much variability. With the wood wicks though, there are just a few sizes I need to test. It's just simpler.

It gives me a good HT, comparable to what I got with my 464 soy wax. It supposedly has a stronger HT than soy, but I can't really tell.

Happy New Year to you as well!

    Thank you Jeremy :)
