Makes you start thinking.... 1. organize (my room is just a big pile of stuff) 2. redo labels 3. do more craft shows and home parties (have lots of people interested in these) 4. start testing balmoral jars (really like these and might want to add to line) 5. start playing around with CP Okay no more, my brain is exploding.

Thanks. Yeah, we got about 3-4 inches (I think). I just know that we brushed alot of snow off our car when we left. Our show in March of this year was the same the only difference was it was 60 degrees in the middle of our winter so people weren't showing up then. Just can't seem to catch a break. On the good side I just got my 1st order on my website it was over $100 so that made my day better.

Well, had my 1st winter craft show today. Did really sucky only made 2x's table fee. We all knew it was going to snow, but the way it was coming down out there, we couldn't get anyone in. My DH and I sat there for 2 hours and maybe 3 people walked by our table. Finally made a sell about noon (thank god) DH was about ready to pack up and leave. We took some pics, but apparently DH didn't load them on the computer, that's okay they sucked anyways. Sorry guys just had a really stressful day. Thanks for letting me vent.

First of all, your site looks beautiful. The pictures are awesome and I like the set up. There were just a couple of things that I noticed. Now this is just my opinion as a consumer. I think that you should have links to other pages, for instance when you are selling your melties you mentioned the tart burners, you should make this a link, so that I could just click on it and go right to the tart burners. The way your drop down menus read is a little confusing. After awhile I understood how you had it set up, but to an average person it could be confusing. For example on the melties you have price as $4.50, but in the drop down it says 12 pack for $4.00. Then I realized that you meant an additional $4 (is that right??) Just a little confusing with that. Also I think that you should list your scents that you offer with your candles instead of sending me to another page to find what scent I want. (Its all about convience for the customer.) Okay and last thing, regarding your online parties, how much would I have to sell to earn free candles? Would I just get 1 candle? I think that you need more detail or maybe add a chart showing examples of how many candles someone could receive for a certain dollar amount. Okay, that's it, I hope I wasn't too brutal. One thing that I learned is that you need to look at everything from your customer's point of view. You might know that the tart burners are for tarts or that its an additional $4 for 6 more votives or whatever, but sometimes it needs to be explained for your customers. Like I said before, it is a beautiful site and the pictures are awesome. You will have fun updating it constantly. HTH.

Carrie, thank you so much. I think the different calc were confusing me. I think I will just stick with one. I like the sage calc, because I can change the size of the batch for my mold. Okay, now back to reading.

Thanks Carrie to replying. Yeah, I thought the same thing. I came up with a little over 4lbs for the recipe, but I wasn't sure about the mold. Can you tell I wasn't very good at math in school. My husband finally got home last night and told me the mold was only 2 lbs. :rolleyes2 Can you tell me which Calc you prefer. I ran it through 3 different calcs and got back 3 different lye %?? Doesn't that seem weird?

I am so confused. I have been reading and reading and reading. I want to try and make soap. (CP) I found a beginners recipe: 16oz Coconut Oil 16oz Palm Oil 13.5oz Olive Oil 6.48oz Lye 14oz Water Okay, does this recipe look okay?? Also I have ordered a soap mold off of ebay (I don't have the mold yet) and the information that I have about the measurements of the mold are: make 15 bars 3/4" thick, 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" bars. SOOOO, will this recipe fit into this mold? Is this recipe okay? Please forgive me for my stupidity, but I really want to get this right and for the life of me can not figure out how to use the calculators. I am going to go back and reread the Soapmaking tutorials AGAIN!! But I am just so confused. TIA. Sorry so long and for rambling.

I do like your site. It is very clean and the colors are easy on the eyes. The only thing I noticed just quickly, is that you have to click on the word buy, and then select your fragrance and so on. Is there a way that you can put your buy now button right on your initial page? I haven't had a chance to look at it all, but it is really nice.

I have to agree with Meridith. Most of the shows that I have done, within the last few minutes it seems everyone all of a sudden shows up and it does look bad to leave early. I also agree that I would not have done a show where people were required to pay $5:shocked2: to get in. But that is just my personal opinion. Sorry to hear about your day.

Those are really nice. Just a hint on the smell see if someone else can smell then while they have been burning for awhile. Sometime you can get "candle nose" and just can't smell that scent or it seems faint. HTH.
