  1. Soap looks great. So sorry about your dog.
  2. Are you using unrefined shea? If so that may be the culprit as well as the cocoa butter. Is it an emulsified butter? It would be helpful, if we knew the recipe.
  3. Sabrina you really deserve it. I know how hard you work. So happy for you. C:highfive:
  4. I don't order my wicks from BC because I have had this problem often with them.
  5. She never mentioned heaviness of fo, just level, in my mind, that means load. My bad . Now go make some candles. LOL
  6. I agree, great article, you should be very proud of all you have accomplished. Try to enjoy, you deserve it.
  7. Very Pretty indeed. Love the layering.
  8. Just remember you get what you pay for. I would not trade the Peak's oils that I use for anything else. Tested and sell like crazy. Take advantage of their percent off. You also have to rememeber what Peak's offers. Customer service bar none. Great oils. When is the last time they raised their prices, and you pay true shipping.
  9. I wholesale mine for 1.25 retail 2.50 use to charge less but they sell like crazy since I raised the price.
  10. I have had no success with these wicks and my wax combo .
  11. redundant don't you think? Interesting observation on the eco's though. I'll have to test some.
  12. Love the bling too. It does show up a bit.
  13. Hmmm interesting. What do they consider a high level of fo, your wax has specs for fo load, so are you wanting to add more fo than the specified amount? You will need an additive for that as well. You will run into more problems if that is the case. If you are buying good fragrance oils you will be able to cut back on the fo load, with good results. Do they specify a wax that these wicks work best with? A candle is more than a wick, sooooooo I would be cautious of their claims, as it is the wax, fo,dye etc... alll of these things are going to have an effect on your final product. You don't want to overload your wax with fragrance oil. That is not to say that it is not a good wick, or do some testing with them but at the same time I would not purchase a wick just so I could add more fo to my wax. Hope this is helpful. There is alot of info on fo load in this section.
  14. As I understand, this is very upsetting for you. At this point I would let it go , do not email her or respond to anything unless it is from a lawyer. Yes she is assuming alot. And as scented said, sounds like she does have a pretty boring life. Unless of course you would like to send her child a lollipop, make sure you label it as such. Sorry could not resist. Sounds like she is all talk. Keep us posted.
  15. Peak's here. Sell tons. It's a year rounder for me.
  16. Actually you have some pretty colors in there. How much cocoa butter did you use? The scent may come back. You could try slicing some of the top off with a cheese cutter. Let it cure out a bit, maybe bevel it and give it a rinse. Anything can happen with soap. Or if you need my addy just let me know LOL.
  17. I use to get mine at Cierra, got a bad batch last time did the same thing. Got some from BCN same problem. My only solution was to hit the jars with the heat gun before I poured, just straight down to the bottom. Pain in the arse. It's always somethin huh Carrie. Can't win. You can always heat your jars and then wick. OMG did I say that. LOL
  18. Apple Cider (even thought about Spiced Apples) Hot Apple Toddy sp - Home for the Holidays Enchanted Home - Sweet Pumpkin Spice Pumpkin Souffle Loved deb's name for creme brulee
  19. Well guess I'll just have to add a bit of pure olive oil to my candles and test them out. Wonder if I can use canola instead LOL. It is getting insane.
  20. It smelled so wonderful OOB that I couldn't wait to get it into soap. It sucks it did not hold. At first I thought I might be the GM that was over powering since I curdled it a bit and got a bit of the ammonia smell. But that cured out and still no FO scent. Did yours ever come back at all? At least my swirly hearts came out! lol Meredith it never came back. I did mine with gm also, it was a give away soap. Oh yes the friends love it when I have a soap i don't like lol
  21. 4786 is a good wax if you want to deal with cutting it. I am not a fan of J50 or 223 but as Sliver said it is a matter of personal preference. I do also love 6006 and may go back to it.
