  1. mine looked like that too, until I took to whoppin the mold on the counter a few times to make it settle. I'm sure the neighbors ( I live in an apartment complex ) think I'm nuts but some of my HP I can't tell from others CP. I've done both and I like the CPHP, it just takes a little time to get used to it! You usually don't see all of the steps, I definately don't! I usually get it to trace and don't touch it at all until its attempting to escape, then stir it down usually once or twice and by then its looking gel like, and its done!
  2. http://www.soapsofhawaii.com/oilsbutters.html This site has it, its not cheap and who knows how much shipping would be? You have to put your order in by email or phone and they contact you after that. Priority mail shipping for outside hawaii. Tempted to order it, i'm addicted to regular cocoa butter as it is!
  3. Someone posted this somewhere, but I don't remember where....only found it by going through my history! http://www.olivebranchsoap.com/BCC.htm hope this helps! and what you're looking for!
  4. I saw 3 liters for $23 and wanted to check to see if it was a good deal? Should I go back and buy it? The biggest bottle of oo i've bought so far was only 17.5 oz and I haven't been pricing other sizes, guess I should have been!
  5. Everytime I've used milk its smelled horrible! Haven't tried soy milk, but regular milk and condensed milk both smelled awful, but the soap turned out fine. The smell cooked off, but I do CPHP. Live n learn right?
  6. I wish I could afford that kind of thing, but I don't think that will ever happen! Even if I did have the money, I'm a bargain hunter, I never pay full price for stuff at Target.....Wouldn't be able to bring myself to pay that much for anything!
  7. How is it even possible to get that popular to be able to charge that much?!?!?! The magazine also had a reed diffuser for $80!
  8. I'm reading a magazine right now and couldn't believe this! $52 for what looks like a votive? Just because its a LUXURY CANDLE? http://eluxury.com/search/search_results.jhtml?searchString=diptyque&command=text&attr1=diptyque&attr2=&%2Felux%2Fsearch%2Fiphrase%2Fproxy%2FEluxurySearchFormHandler.search=search&_D%3A%2Felux%2Fsearch%2Fiphrase%2Fproxy%2FEluxurySearchFormHandler.search=+&_DARGS=%2Fincludes%2Fnavbar.jhtml.3
  9. Since the CC company caught it, you won't be responsible for the charges, right? I don't know how it happens, my father in law NEVER used his CC online, but somehow some chick in Detroit ended up getting Direct TV charges on his CC! We still don't know how it happened!
  10. LOL.....I tried to do the collars...they're a little more readable in person, the orange cat is Mouse, the grey cat is Lucky! Thats lucky mouse, i'm pretty sure I dont have mice since they wouldn't survive here! I'm worried every day about my pet Degus, if the cats get ahold of them they'd be dead degus. Lucky and Mouse are my babies, since I can't seem to get pregnant. Thats where my "name" comes from, my babies!
  11. I couldn't get a pic of the back clear enough but it has my e-mail address and most of my ingredients used. I dont know if I want people contacting me! LOL This will be my first "sale" besides family. If it even sells LOL. Thanks for the encouragement. C-SNIP is a great organization around here, gives people an affordable way to spay/neuter their animals! I wish I had done it right away with my Lucky (didn't think I needed to, she was an indoor cat but my sister had to get rid of her cat and I took him in, within the first week Lucky was pregnant!), my poor baby lost her babies since her uterus ruptured! Spaying her sure would have been cheaper than her emergency kitty C-section! Trying to get better pics, will update if I do!
  12. I'm trying to make labels for some soap i'm donating, I have to drop it off tomorrow, and I have a horrible headache, horrible pics, but i'm hoping to get some comments. I think my camera may be on its last leg (its almost 10 y o!) and I couldnt get a non blurry pic!
  13. .I think it looks great, although I agree with the centering of Soy Wax Melts, but I don't think that this is the right spelling of dreamsickle either. I thought the way she had it spelled looked right, so I did a google search putting in Dreamsickle and it asked if I meant Dreamsicle. There were results for it with the K but more with out the K. Soooooo at that I think it would be a personal choice as to how she wants it spelled.
  14. Thank you so much! Its a good thing that I don't, since I'm supposed to be dropping them off sometime tomorrow!
  15. I have a box full of soap...literally! I have volunteered to donate some to a local spay/neuter organization. They are having a rummage sale, and they're setting up a "non-rummage" table for my soap and other stuff that isn't rummage type? I haven't really sold anything, just gave away soap for Christmas, and didn't label them properly since it was only for family and friends. My problem is......I dont want to label these!!!! I didn't take proper notes for everything and was wondering if I could make a general label saying "may contain:....................everything I may have used" Would it be ok for me to do that? I don't even know if any of it will be sold, so I don't want to spend 8 hours on labels! I was going to throw a few of a FEW different kinds in and the time I'd have to spend on each label just doesn't seem like fun to me! any suggestions would be appreciated! Amanda
  16. If you want to do this, tell the customers that it will take ??? days or a week to fill the orders? This will give you time to do it, and not put so much pressure on you. You can say what ever time period you think you need. Good luck!
  17. I've even seen them at dollar stores!
  18. I read somewhere about someone making it like a ratio.....1 oz to 10 percent? so if (I'm trying to paraphrase what I understood it to mean!) if you were making a 20 oz batch (I tried to say 1 pound but my sleepy head isnt' letting that happen right now!) and needed 15% of coconut oil you would use 3 oz. 15% of 10 oz is 1.5 them multiply by 2? I sure hope i'm putting this right, I just woke up and didn't get nearly enough sleep! Another way.... if you need to figure the percentages for a 3 lb batch. for say 12% calculate 48 x 0.12........... 18 % 48 x 0.18 I hope I don't seem like an idiot.....I don't follow any recipes, I just throw my stuff together, a little bit of this and have to make sure I have some of that....I'm just not so hateful of math right now, definately don't love it but only 3 more weeks to go for my accelerated math class to be over! If I did any of this math wrong PLEASE correct me, I should have probably waited at least until I could have the monitors colors normal instead of dimmed all the way down:embarasse Sure wish I could be sleeping right now....little sister showing up in 5 min!
