  1. I get all of my ink cartridges at: netsupplies.com. very cheap prices and good cartridges.
  2. What is a good strong wax to use in 2-piece plastic molds. These would be novelty candles, like animals, etc.
  3. I have a lot of paraffin wax in different colors i bought from a candle manufacturer. this is scrap wax. It already has all the additives in it. I use it to make novelty candles in plastic molds. My question. I have a customer who is interested in black wizards. I know if you mix different colors of wax you get brown. How can I get black. If if get a nice brown, can I put black dye in and get to a nice dark black color.
  4. I have just discovered that rubbing alcohol and a paper towel takes the scent off and then wash your hands. works great. and rubbing alcohol is cheap.
  5. Try this website. "smartfrogs.com". On the menus on the left, click on "Tips & Articles". These stair step shelvintg units are awsome. And inexpensive. I use them to display jar candles at craft shows.
  6. I use a rubber plug. and then i use my glue gun and cover the plug and all of the wick that is showing. I've never had a leak doing this. sometimes, espcially on ball molds, i'll put plumbers putty over the dried glue.
  7. Same with me. I work in a small factory in Galena, Kansas. Thought I'd sell a few jar candles for fun. Wrong. I am pouring candles around the clock. I tell everyone at work that I just come to work to take candle orders.
  8. I am going to make tart melters using pillar feathering palm wax. I see that the normal fragrance load is 5%. Can I using more fragrance to get a stronger smell when they are melting without messing up the wax?
  9. Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and poured the candles yesterday. But I did add stearic and powder releasant to the wax. I made heart candles for Valentine's Day. They came out of the mold just fine. And The feather look is just beautiful. I think I might have more sales this year because of the look.
  10. I have the granule palm feathering wax from Glorybee. I bough it a couple of years ago. I have made many pillar candles using aluminum molds. Love the feather look. My question. Can this wax be used with 2-piece plastic molds. If so, do I need to ad stearic or granule releasent.

  14. The bottle I found in my supplies is "Mod Podge Gloss-Lustre). Is this the one to use?

  16. Hi, I'm new to this post. But have gotten lots of ideas and problem solving tips over the last month. I pour ig 4630 wax in jars. But I have some Christmas theme tins I'd like to pour into. They have seams on the sides and bottom. Do I have to glue the seams before filling with wax. Also, if I remove the glue after they cool, will the seams leak when the candle is burning.:rolleyes2
