  1. I am getting ready to sell the square votives and I am wondering how well they sell and what is the going rate. They weigh just a little over 2 oz. but I never see them anywhere. I think they look so cool and think they will sell well but why doesn't anyone sell them?

  2. The biggest thing to ask is how are they going to advertise? What kind of directional signs are they going to have. Do they have flyers for you to hand out? If you need electricity ask if they are going to have that available. I also ask how many other candle people are signed up. Last year I was in a small town doing a craft show and there were six other candle co. there. and only 20 vendors. I only did well because I was next to Santa who was having his pic. taken with kids.

  3. I purchased all I could to help this lady out. She had two storage units full of stuff and her tiny apartment was full too. I am going to talk to her about posting her stuff in the classified section. She has over 900 cases of apothecary jars and over 100 various molds including, metal, plastic and silicone. Tons of scents and wicks on the roll. I will have to get a hold of her, because she has to get rid of them and I know we can all help her clear out her storage units.

  4. :rolleyes2 sale today and I finally met some of my competition. Everyone arrived at the sale early and I got there on time. I just went in there and grabbed a box and filled it up with goodies. I didn't really say a word, just went about my business because hubby was waiting in the pu and told me to hurry. So I tried, but you know when their is a sale, especially candle molds and all that stuff how could I resist but go through everything. The women noticed I really didn't speak to anyone so they asked me what is my companies name and when I told them what it was they said Oh, I have heard of you....Is your website up? I told them yes and kept my words to a minimum. I was a bit surprising that people have heard of me. That makes me wonder why are people yaking about me????? I hope it is all good. :neener: Not sure what to think.

  5. I think it would be best if you decided how you want to sell your stuff. If you are going to make candles do you want to sell them wholesale or sell them at markets, craft shows or consignment. But most of all get insurance, your tax ID #, business license, a good accountant and a good support system. Good Luck!!!

  6. I sell tons of these all winter and all you have to do is just go up on the woods or pick them up around colleges or parkss. Don't pick them off the trees that's where you get the sap from. I put them in a cardboard box and place them in the garage. Then dip them in the wax when you're ready. If someone wants a pic. of mine. Just PM me. I am getting ready to post them on my website but I have to transfer everything over to my hosts new website so I have to do that first.

  7. There is a store that is named Cupcake something. I just happened to drive past going to a meeting and just saw a banner with a lot of words on it, but the word Cupcake caught my eye. I am wondering if that is related. I am going to have to take a drive and read the signs that are posted. The sign has been there quite a few months. I thought it was just a real cupcake or confectionery place. I am curious now!!! Hmmmmmm!!!!

  8. Oh!!! My melter will by workin' overtime this weekend. I will be mixin' up autumn/fall colors in the browns, orange, yellow and red colors. Scents will be gingerbread house, crisp apple butter, harvest punkin', & wagon hayride. Just to start with. I have two shows at the same time Oct. 7th so I have to make enough for both of 'em and 2 stores. I also have 1 new gift shop that will be opening Oct. 5th and wants me to fill a section of their store. :undecided I need more hands and space..........

  9. My question would be as to how long has this company been making candles? Not selling the candlemaking stuff just making them and what type of testing did they do. It seems like they only use one size wick. Hmmm! That leaves a big question mark? Different sizes of containers need different sizes of wicks. Also what type of seminars do they have? Do they offer classes on candlemaking or is this just a big 2 hr. sales pitch on how much money could be made once you buy their products and start selling them.
