I've been making candles and soaps and stuff for 3+ years now and would like to take it to the next level. I'm interested in doing some fundraisers and was wanting some advice on who to contact and how to get them? Do I first send a letter and brochure? Explain the costs/profits to them? TIA
With click & ship you can also pick the "mailing" date. When I do the printing in the evenings I pick the next day as the mailing date. I've even done them picking days ahead of time.
Do you have any CP soap from swaps or something you can shred? Or maybe some people will send you fugly bars of soap for you to shred/rebatch. A friend just sent me a flat-rate box FULL of soaps for me to rebatch! She didn't like the scent and luckily they were a light color. Now to just shred and play!
Would something like this work? http://store.scent-works.com/14ozclpelota.html http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/Product.aspx?Tab=4&CatalogID=9&GroupID=303&CatalogTitle=0&CategoryID=510&CategoryName=Keuka+Euro+Pin
I've got a small ceramic tart burner that I'm loving! My question is, how do you get the melted wax out of there without burning it all up? I'd like to change the scent but it doesn't easily come out. Should I stick it in the freezer and hopefully it will pop out? The tarts are part container part parafin. TIA
Another "cheap" thing to use are boxes! I still use the same shoe box for 3+ years now for small slab batches. Pringles cans are great for test batches too
Wow, thank yousanta emba THe Spa Goddess are dead sea mud. I took out some prior to adding the DSM and put gold mica in that, then kind of "swirled" (I am swirl impaired). I used Myan Gold for those bars.
Thanks. Yes they are sugar scrubs using my own recipe for foaming bath butter. They aren't on my site yet, I am in MAJOR need of updating The crayons are one of my favorites!
I used 4 boxes I think to make 2 stands. So a full box for the bottom, the middle and top cut incrementally. They are all the same sized box (flat rate).
Some people feel that salt is self-preserving BUT I would add the preservative as suggested just to be on the safe side. I don't make salt scrubs, just sugar scrubs and wouldn't think of not adding preservatives.
