  1. Jacqui, Any EO suppliers should have this oil. For example, it can be found here: http://www.rainbowmeadow.com/Cart/item.asp?id=94&hdr=Essential%20Oils They suggest using a 3:1 ratio.
  2. She probably doesn't keep a list of who she's contacted and when.
  3. Hee hee, I like the tractor design.
  4. Sara, did you already see the instructions for the grab bag purse (in the grab bag purse thread)? I think that one uses batting. In case you have extra batting after finishing your quilt.
  5. Valerie, that is so cute. Chiptooth, the pattern is this one which TexasBrat had posted here: http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82754&page=2 (post #13)
  6. Starr - if you can, get them to at least pay a deposit (non-refundable) which would cover the cost of the ingredients. Then if they change their mind, you are not out anything.
  7. It's real pretty! Hawaiinsun, is it gonna be big enough for all your winnings?
  8. Scented, the link is http://www.soapcalc.com I think the new one might be easier to use if you have never used it before. I remember being confused by the old one (at first) as you have to choose between soapcalc9 and some other number.
  9. Your DH knows how to make purse too? LOL I think it looks lovely and didn't see it as green until you brought it up. The pink was what stood out for me but then I am partial to pink LOL.
  10. Patka, I use a plastic container and have not had any problems with heat damage. Is your water cold to start with? It will certainly help if your liquid is cold to start with. Then the lye solution would not get quite as hot.
  11. When I switched from inkjet to laser, I just hit the print button for my existing labels, and they came out looking the same (in terms of alignment).
  12. I don't think the scent will come through. Or at least, not enough to make it worthwhile.
  13. MMS has 1 oz LDPE bottles which you can buy in packets of 10. http://www.thesage.com/catalog/Bottles.html
  14. Michelle, I buy a lot of things from them. Overall I am happy and will continue to buy from them. If you are near enough to pick up then even better.
  15. Here's their contact form http://www.thesage.com/about/contact.html It's how I usually contact them and they write back fairly soon. You get to it by clicking on About, followed by Contact Us. Hope this helps!
  16. Yes, it is safe to try them. I usually try a small sliver almost right away, after cutting. But then I set the rest aside to cure for several weeks so that they get milder and better.
  17. I've not used dendritic salt (I usually use ordinary table salt) but the weeping is normal, especially if there is humidity around. You can just take a paper towel and press against them every now and then, until it dries up.
  18. I ran the orange one through the washer and dryer and it turned out fine
  19. I don't usually use the summer bee meadow calculator but I ran a recipe through there to compare with soapcalc. It appears summer bee meadow gives about 10% more water than soap calc. So if you reduced soapcalc's water by 10%, you should get approximately the same amount of water as what summer bee meadow would have given you. It could also be that this particular batch was unscented. Sometimes the fragrance can speed things up a bit, so by leaving it unscented, the process could take a bit longer. But since you need to cure for a few weeks anyway, the end result shouldn't really be different.
  20. As far as I know, they don't put individual items on sale. Rather, it is having discounts based on amount spent, just like Camay explained.
  21. When I do salt bars, I don't put them in the oven. The mold I use can't go in the oven, you see. Neither do I put them in the fridge. I just leave them out at room temp. For charcoal, it will need to be a fine powder, or else it is likely to be scratchy. You can get a small amount from here: http://www.healingherbs.biz/products/charcoal.html
