  1. It's called Fresh Cut Tulips, also....RE's FES Hyacinth is also wonderful! The LW Hyacinth smells like pollen and gives me a headache, I got it by accident.
  2. Best Tulip I have come across is at RE. It was SnC's fo, they claim it was y's. I love it. ETA NG's was weak to me.
  3. I vote for low. I used to put it on high to give it a "kick" but lately I have been letting it on low or "keep warm" setting and its been turning out great! I do add sodium lactate and sugar to the water before adding lye.
  4. Thanks everyone! I used a small cookie cutter to make the hearts. I had bar of pleasures(pink) so I sliced 1/4" thick slabs from that and cut the hearts out.
  5. Wow! How is that going?? What amount of oils do you test with?
  6. That sounds good, are you going to use a chai tea fo? I almost ordered chai tea from sgs until I saw the 3% maximum usage.
  7. Thanks so much for that info! I used a 33% water. That is what I always plug in on the soap calc. The recipe I normally use is ready to cut in 12 hours. Since this was the first time making this recipe I did a small 20 oz of oil. I do that a lot with new fo's and never had a problem other than fo troubles. The factors that have changed, new recipe and pouring at a very thin trace. Oils and lye were 120 when incorporated. It never heated up.
  8. No it looks normal, its just really soft. I set it aside, I'm going to let it sit a few days and see what happens. If it stays soft I'll hp it.
  9. Barb, I'm confused. I thought you meant did I tongue test the soap before I poured it, like its done with hp before you mold it. Yes I did do a tongue test on the soap after it sat a day and I got zapped. Does that mean it is lye heavy or it just needs to sit? Thanks so much for your advice.
  10. I measured everything correctly, that is not my concern. I just made it yesterday. I normally do HPCP, so I'm not used to many CP characteristics Since I didn't add the milk and the oils were room temp and so was the lye it never heated up. Compounded with the fact that I poured it at a super thin trace, I 'm wondering if it will harden and loose the zap. I guess I'll just let it sit an see what happens. It's gonna be a nasty color if I hp it. Thanks for the feedback. Barb_ I have a KD600 scale, I didn't do a tongue test since it was cp. Do you toungue test cp? I thought that was only for HP. I am so confused. My Lye concentration was 29.1%_6.6 oz water- 2.7 lye.
  11. Hi, I made a batch of quietgirls soap. I followed the recipe, the only thing I did not do was use milk. I brought it to a very thin trace so that I could practice swirls. It is really soft. It is like cream cheese. I has a strong zap. Should I hp it or let it sit? The swirls came out ok, so I hate to chop it up. It never gelled.
  12. This soap is really great! Great concept! Did the balls fuse with the main color? Did it all stay together after it was half way down?
  13. ohhh. I really like the spearmint euc! Lovely!
  14. Thanks, I used celestial colors for the top, fuschia and ultra marine violet for the bottom. The heart is a piece that was left over from another batch of cp soap.
  15. This got a lot more vibrant that I intended...hopefully it doesn't make pink suds.
  16. It is on sale at the soap dish this week, great price. I just bought some at the local health food store, 12 oz for $11.99. Kind of expensive but I figured I didn't have to pay shipping so not too bad, and its a good brand.
  17. Gotcha, go to the advanced search and in the "Search Options" box pick "Find Posts From" and choose a year ago an older or what ever time period you notice the search stops at the 8 pages. Hope that helps, makes sense and works for you. It works for me.
  18. How many pages do you want? Did you click on the arrow next to the page?
  19. Hi, Welcome to the board. Are you looking for ideas on booth walls? I don't know if this would work for you, but what if you set up a ezup type tent and leave the top material off and hang material on the sides. I set my ezup tent up myself and so do many vendors at the farmers market.
  20. The few I have done, my friend or I set up at their home, usually on the dining room table, a nice display, and did cash and carry and took orders. The hostess gets a % of sale in product. Party sales were usually $500-$800 so the hostess got a decent amount of product.
  21. I like it! I'm gonna try something like this tomorrow, I do HP also. Does the embed seem like it will stay put?
