  1. WOW! Those look terrific! Makes me want to make some!
  2. Its really a shame.....they have some great oils...I hope sooner or later they sell the rights to a supplier with time and money.
  3. Hoping someone here has tried both KY and Bluegrass's Strawberry Rhubarb. I would like to know how close KY's is to BG's??? BG has been out of stock for over a month and a half....with no clue when it will be back in stock. I wonder if they are going out of business.
  4. Try calling Shrocks...they sell darice items for a little above wholesale..they do not have a web site, you must phone or fax your order in. 1-800-426-4659
  5. It's sad, but they are always oos on so much! All the time....for atleast the past three years, its always been that way. Too bad, they have some nice oils. Heartfelt has a good lilac!

  10. WOW...that is awesome! :highfive: I personally love to add soy to any para, never thought it would be possible for rustics! Keep us updated on the test burn!
  11. All you pillars are wonderful....but I really love these!!
  12. Thanks for the kind comments! I really love this wax!! I cannot wait to get a case. LOL...Sally, I made it to match my living room...not for fall.
  13. I had a sample of candlewics 4045H laying around...I searched this board for info on the wax, decided to give it a shot...figured out a few things I would do different next time, like mark what side I layed the angle on. I'm ordering a case of this stuff!! Thanks to all the rustic makers...for sharing their tips!! Oh...this is scented in FOH's Asian Spice....it's all mine!!! I see a future of dark pine and deep cranberry pillars!! Now onto test burning.:undecided Adding...I used 6% fo, no additives...poured at 130, waited till the sides and a thin skin set to pour the next color.
  14. I recall seeing a htp-cd comparison chart a while back. I believe the htp 105 is equal to a cd 16, the htp 104 is equal to a cd 14. Hopefully someone will comment that has tested both types of wicks. What type of container are you using? OK...after googling for a while I found the chart. HTP31 = CD4 HTP41 = CD5 HTP52 = CD6 HTP62 = CD7 HTP73 = CD8 HTP83 = CD10 HTP93 = CD12 HTP104 = CD14 HTP105 = CD16 HTP126 = CD18 HTP1212 = CD20 HTP1313 = CD22 Here is the link http://www.candletech.com/cgi-local/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=veggiewax;action=display;num=1098326903;start=3#3
  15. I use cbl 141 also, I notice a huge flame with it no matter what wick I try. I usually use a cd14 with a 3" pillar, the wick definately needs to be trimmed to 1/4". I don't notice any black smoke with mine, unless it gets hit with a big draft. Really love the grubby!!! You did a real nice job!
  16. I emailed them about the retention a few years ago...they said it is capable of holding more(9-10%) , but that is the manufactures recomendation, and that some oils are heavier than others. I have a hunch it is from Golden Foods, but I'm not positive. I use the soy 125 from them. I have seen batches fluctuate in burn. Last year I could use a cd 10 in my jelly jars, this year I'm using 12's in many scents. That is frustrating. But since it is a natural wax it will change from batch to batch. I add 10% parafin, I get very little frosting. I also pour hot. I color. I don't think their soy is much different from any other. Thats my opinion. I have not found many scents from them that I love. Hope that Helps.
