  1. I am using 6% fragrance, but I am only getting fragrance "bleeding " when there is a drastic change in room temp. Like transferring them from a cold car to room temp for a show, or in the summer when it is an outside show.
  2. I also use a 2x4 Kraft label and warning label on the bottom
  3. I haven't seen any Gel Candle Makers this year either. There was one gal in the area we saw at quite a few shows we did, but have yet to see her this year....makes you wonder.
  4. Just curious...what is everyones top 5 selling fragrances
  5. I am currently using Nature Wax in 8 oz Square Masons with a HTP 104 wickwith great results, but I am not 100% happy with Nature Wax. There is some frosting and some fragrance oil bleeding (although not too bad). I am going to start testing Eco-Soya Pure, and I was wondering how everyone else is wicking.
  6. An hour to set up is a little tight...I think that you will have alot of vendors scrambling to get set up ( I can get unloaded and set up in 45-60 mins, but that is with both myself and my wife and we are really moving!!!) How many entrances are there to this facility. You have to think of the flow of traffic, because all 40 vendors cannot go through those doors at one time. Are there carts or volunteers available to help vendors unload. I just did a show at a local high school and the school band was putting on the show and they had the entire band helping vendors unload their cars. I had 6 banders decend on my car when I pulled in and I was unloaded in no time. It was great!!! Everyone already hit on the confusion with space fee and table rental. How about just add the $10 donation into the table fee and note on the bottom of the form that part of the show fee is going to the charity. Otherwise it looks pretty good.
  7. I use HTP 104 in 8 oz square mason jars...not sure if that helps
  8. I use Early American Candle Supplies Banana Nut Bread and it is awesome and my customers love it. They purchase their fragrance from French.
  9. I am sorry to hear this. I had the opportunity to stop by Willowwoods this past summer and meet Kathy. She is a very nice and helpful person and I wish her all the best in her recovery.
  10. Go to their website www.anchorhocking.com and call their customer service, I believe their hours are M-F 8-5 and just ask to order a catalog. They will take your info (tell them you are interested in candle containers becuase they have a couple catalogs) and you will get the catalog in about a 6 or 7 days. They have some really nice stuff!
  11. I just got my Anchor hocking catalog yesterday and they stock the 16 oz rectangle and they call it a Silhoutte. They ship out of Lancaster, OH.
  12. Good luck, I hope all your hard work pays off!
  13. I use HTP 104 and I have not had that problem. Maybe it is your wick supplier. Try a different vendor for your wicks...can anyone suggest one? I get my wicks from Early American Candle.
  14. Were the Home Interior vendors Selling product? It is against their policy to sell at shows like that. They are only supposed to book parties at these type of events. If they are selling get their Business Card and turn them in to Home Interior.
  15. I am curious as to where everyone gets their glassware. Obviously shipping is a killer...does everyone pay shipping or to you opt to find a local source. I live right on the PA/OH border, and I was just planning on making a trip to wholesalesuppliesplus for 8 oz square mason jars and they are out of stock!! I have found Fillmore Containers website. What else is out there? thanks in advance.
  16. Wholesales Supplies Plus are $1.85 a dz (15 cents a piece) or 20.75 for 144 (14 cents a piece) for the rustic and pewter lids. http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/ProductDetail.aspx?Tab=0&CatalogID=0&CatalogTitle=0&ProductID=3449
  17. 50 is a good number. Too many choices are not always a good thing and you drive yourself crazy trying to keep up with such a huge inventory!
  18. Great selection. Last weekend pretty much all I sold was Cinnamon Spice, Cinnamon Bun, and Sugar Cookie.
  19. You are not crazy. Now is the time! We have weekends this fall where we have triple booked. I do one, my wife does one, and my mom does one. Great fun with constant updates via cell phones!
  20. Pat Catans and Darice are owned by the same company...with Pat Catans basically being the retail front for their craft items...Darice has a huge catalog (costs 10 bucks though) that has alot of craft items and supplies (including the light socket cords) that we use in our electric candles. Where is your neck of the woods?
