I am using 3" diameter containers and the wicks are CD-10 and HTP-104. I have great melt pool with 1 wick and no side hangup. The FO is from Just Scents and it is Cinnamon Red Hots, among others. Thanks for any help.

I have noticed quite a bit of soot lately coming from my candles on all of my fans and even on my walls. I use a 50/50 blend and also J223. My FO load is about 10%. Believe it or not, I even opened up my frig door and there was soot inside. My repairman told me that when you open up the door of the frig, it sucks whatever is in the room in the frig, including soot.....didnt even notice it until he pointed it out. Would alot of this problem be eliminated if I used soy? Thanks alot!

I am starting back making candles again but I have one question concerning FO percentages. I know in the past I was using 1oz FO per 1lb of wax. What percentage is that? The wax I am thinking of switching to says that it can take up to 10% FO and I dont know how much that is. Is there somewhere where these percentages are on this forum? Thank you.

Ok, I started using HTP wicks because I didnt like the mushrooming anymore of the zinc. Now, when testing the HTP83, I am getting almost a full MP to the side where the wick is bending or curling. The other side still has 1/2 inch left. What do you do? Do you blow out the candle, bend it back straight again so the other side will have a full MP, or just leave it and hope that the other side catches up....woo is me!

I just ordered some CD12s so I will see if that will work. I think I like the burn on the CD better compared to the HTP. Time will tell. Thanks!

I am going to order the 93 and 104 tomorrow. I have alot of Christmas containers to do as presents and the last thing I need is a hangup of wax. I am trying to get new customers not have them turn the other way! Thanks alot!

I just dont understand. I am test burning a 3 inches wide container. I am using HTP 83 and CD-10 wicks. I am not getting a complete melt pool. I am using Taylored container blend which is a 1 pour wax. I am testing in what I thought was a fairly light FO----White Tea. I used 9% FO. Can anyone help me before I pull my hair out. Thank you.
