  1. I found my label for the Drakkar. Drakkar Noirtm - Type A version of Drakkar Noirtm, a trademark of Guy Laroche The tm after Noir is small case and at the top, can't do that on the board with what I am using. As long as you give proper credit, etc you should have no problems. As my lawyer told me, look around you and you will see someone using someone's trademark. As long as proper credit is given and you are not claiming it as yours you are fine. Sadly, it does take up a bunch of space on an otherwise "clean looking" label.
  2. I do use the same name and put "- Type" after it. On the next line I put who's type it is, it's a bit late or I'd grab my Drakkar for exact wording. I will try to remember in the morning.
  3. We got a sample from CS to try - my wife says it smells like the PEZ candy oob. We haven't tested it yet though to see what it's like in the wax.
  4. I tried the 4786 in the clam shells. I found that 1oz beeswax makes them much easier to remove. I also found that the 4794 is just much better than the 4786 for tarts, no BW needed. Just my opinion though.
  5. Not sure if this will help, but I love the 4627. I put the whole bag on a foil covered table and I use one of those "magic" bread knives. I'll have to look, but I swear the brand of the knife is magic, came with one of those knife sets my wife bought. I put on rubber gloves before I even touch my paper towel covered knife handle. Any way, I slice from the bottom up all four corners of the plastic bag. Cut those four squares away and scrape the wax off them. Then I use the bread knife and start slicing away - by pushing, carving is a better word, starting at the corners. I cut the whole 25lbs up into portion size, either 4 or 6 pounds and put them on plastic plates from Wally World. I found the heavier plastic plates last longer and I reuse them. I put wax paper between the plates before storing them in a tote to make it easier to separate them later. Kept in a tote to keep them clean from dust and debris. I take some paper towels and wrap up the knife for later. Remove gloves. Then when I'm ready I use a spatula and scrape from plate to presto. I'm thinking of getting a machete to do this with - bigger and thicker blade might make it easier and give me better control.
  6. I wish I could help you out but I've never used any of those fragrances from C&S. some of their FOs are weak and I go to other suppliers for what I want. Having said that though, to me, they have the best Cinnamon Stix & Vanilla Bean I have come across. Christmas Rose, Drakkar, & White Diamonds is also very good. JMO/HTH

I use a 5oz Dixie cup, less for me to "overfill" by accident. I use the 4794 and fill to the top, any excess dribbles are easily removed.
  8. I'll have to try some from CS. I've been using the Peach from candles and supplies, good but not what I really want. Cajun is good as well, though I think the candles & supplies is better.
  9. A lot of trial and error. Lots of 1oz samplers get sacrificed at my house. Lol We use Peak, BCN, Candle Science, Cajun, Candles & Supples and Wellington. Even some of the same scents will dramatically differ from one company to another. I've always wondered about French Color, but I believe you have to buy in very large quantities to buy from them. Dyes are the same, in that they differ. Cajuns are strong coloring, Wellington & candles & supplies seem to be lighter and need more drops for dark colors.
  10. Exactly. I absolutely hate baby powder and lilac gives me a headache. I love lemon verbena and my wife thinks it is just ok. Everyone is different, have a suggestion box or pad and write down the FOs people ask you about. Usually it's the real popular ones from the BIG companies like Yxxxxxs buttercream or something similar.
  11. They all look great. I haven't ventured out into making multiple colors in a pillar yet - nice job!
  12. I will have to check that out, thanks!
