candlemakingkid
What kind of butter would be good to substitute? Mango, Shea, Kokum. I don't know anything about avocado, but would like to try and sub something close to the texture.Chris

daniedb
Chris - avocado is soft-ish, so I would sub shea or anything else that is semi-soft at room temperature. If you add something harder, you could cut back on the stearic to make up for the added hardness of the butter.
CareBear
DriFlo is to cornstarch what Wondra is to flour - same thing but slightly modified so it won't clump, so it's easier to work with.
fmsojka
What is the consistency of this? Like a cream? And would it work better in heat then a regular whipped butter?I am looking for a fluffy cream that wouldn't melt so easily when shipped. Think this would be worth a try?ThanksFreda
the_amber_woods
I made this up a couple of days ago...Subbed shea butter! Turned out absolutely lovely, so far all my testers lubbed it!It's like a thick cream. I'm not sure how it'll hold up to heat though. CDGM
After getting all the great emulsified butters in the swap I decided to try this tonight. I subbed out the avocado with shea and mango and of course had to use my monoi (feeding that addiction again!) instead of the olive. Awesome! thanks for sharing the great formula!
