sakuraserra
. . . . .I'm so confused! What is the next thing someone will shove up their noses!! But my question is if anyone knows if they are just using the term "bath salts" as a in general term or is this all bath salts? Or is there a particular brand? They mention a couple "names" but no brand. I was hoping to try learning to make bath salts, i just figured it was salt and essential oils. . . . .what is it that makes it so potentially dangerous?Edit* Totally forgot to put the link in therehttp://governor.delaware.gov/news/2011/1109september/20110930-bath_salts_ban.shtml Edited October 2, 2011 by sakuraserra

Candybee
Here's a thread I posted on the subject a while back. The bath salts in question contain extremely dangerous drugs sold under the guise of bath salts. Kids are dying and states nationwide have been banning them from being sold:http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?97595-Gov.-bans-bath-salts-in-Virginia&highlight=ban+on+bath+salts
Faerywren
"bath salts" is a nickname for the drug. Real bath salts have nothing to do with this.
sakuraserra
Ohhh I see. I wish they were more clear on that part. But good to know.
Stella1952
There is also a marijuana "lookalike" called "potpourri"... These kinds of things are sold in sleazy minute markets in communities where they are still legal... "Bath Salts" were outlawed here a while back - very bad stuff!! The whole idea is to be able to get high and not triggger drug tests... Read up - the internet is a great place to learn about things like this. All you have to do is Google the term and tons of information is right there!!
sakuraserra
Eh, not really interested in learning on the latest new "trend" on how people like to kill themselves. It's extremely sad. We are surrounded with so much negativity these for a long time now, so I don't normally like reading the news unless it's in the Science section *of yahoo* or the comics. Kitn
Good grief, I learn something everyday. I haven't heard of them here, but that is not to say they aren't here.
pleasureridgecandles
Haven't heard of the "bath salts" but have heard of the "potpourri". I've heard some of the younger people at work mention it and that you can get it at some smoke shops etc. Guess I need to read up on the "bath salts" and see what else is out there that I may have not heard of yet. I'm not interested in it, but, would like to know what's out there and how easily available it is since I have 2 teenagers.

Scented
Hey it was even on one of those court things today. The judge thought people were smoking incense sticks, but it's not that at all.
