Anyone Heard of 1812 Candle Company???

I was approached by a potential wholesale buyer this weekend. She said she usually bought the 1812 Candles but shipping for her is a killer and she was thinking of switching. She bought a couple of my candles as a tester to see how she liked them.

I have done google searches and bing searches and cannot find this 1812 Candle Company.

Does anyone know about them?

TIA

They are actually popular over here in the NE sec of WI, many of the larger home decor stores carry them in Green Bay & Appleton. They do soy. I know someone mentioned they used to be a member on craftserver a while back.

Heard of them but don't know anything about them. Seems to me someone posted about them a while back mentioning that they carried scents with old colonial recipe type names to them. I could be wrong.

The thread was in the fragrance forum.

Is this the company you are talking about? I remembered the same discussion as a few others here did and had to search back many pages to find it. Here's the link to the post where they were discussed on CT.

I had never heard of them either until the above posted thread.

HTH. :smiley2:

I know the lady mentioned they were located in Iowa but I could not find any info. You would think if they are that big they would have a website or something. I forgot to ask her what kind of wax they were but at least now I know they are soy.

Well, hopefully she likes what she bought from me and wants to order more. I don't do soy anymore. I switched to palm so if she is looking for natural she can still get it from me.

This might be the one. I thought she called them 1812 candles though. And I thought she said they were in Iowa but maybe they are close to the Iowa border.

Interesting. Thanks!

Grrrrrr. I've had another thread going on finding larger clamshells that actually hold 3.5 oz of wax, many supplier claim it but they only hold 2.8 ounces in reality. I just checked the 1803 canddle website and their clamshells melts, they claim, are 4 oz. Where is this packaging coming from???????????

I have one from them I'll weigh it. 3.6 oz by my scale. Weighted 2 1oz bottles of FO with lids and they were 1.4 each, different companies. The label says 4oz soy wax...
