Lip Balm Labels

I need ideas on designing my lip balm labels. I'm not sure really what I'm looking for :laugh2:but I'll know it when I see it. If some of you don't mind sharing pics of your labels or some ideas please. Thanks.

Clear labels are nice, in my opinion, if you are using the clear lip balm tubes. You could probably get away with designing them in Microsoft Works, too, because they are mostly text anyway.

Mine are still a work in progress but here are sample pix. I use clear and white labels and both look nice. But my fav that isn't included in the pix is actually white labels on clear natural tubes. Not sure why but the white label on the clear tube looks great with the color of the gloss showing out the top and bottom of the label.

What kind of labels do you use for the .15 oz lip balms? I am having a hard time getting a label to fit...

Who has the best and most professional looking clear labels with a perforated band?

Are you sure you don't mean lip tube shrink wrap sleeves and not labels? The shrink wrap sleeves fit over the tube with the label already on it. You just shrink it with a heat gun. It has perferations at the top so customers can just pull off the seal to use. I get mine from Elements. They also carry labels for lip tubes.

I have seen the labels before with the perforated tops and they were printable.

Not sure if they were laser or inkjet though as it has been a while.

I've only seen the perferated bands. Otherwise, there are nice shiny labels I believe at onlinelabel.net or you can get some through elements bath & body I believe, but they aren't going to be perferated labels, just the shrink bands are.

I use clear tubes with white labels

I dont use special labels.. i use 2"x4"s and cut them down, I can get two labels per 2x4.it takes more time but its worth it since its my most used label size.. it doesnt require ordering anything special. Then I shrink wrap in pre-perforated bands.

I get 20 labels on a single sheet that fit fine. I use a semi clear label or a clear label on white tubes.

You can get labels that have the perforation but I'm not sure they have them for inkjet or laser printers; I've only seen them for my LX810 and even then they were a custom order. But, they are relatively cheap...like .04 each before ink costs.

Luminous-- those look nice. I too switched to 2x4" labels and cut them in half. Its the same size I use for many products and always have them in stock so its real convenient. Still use the perf bands from Elements. Also use their lip balm tubes, flavor oils, and sweetener. The lip balm base is okay but I prefer the organic base from C&S.
