Mimistarts
i have never had this happen in the several years i've been making candles until previously....but lately on my 9 oz hex jar candles every so often i am getting "jump lines" in my candle... its like a horizontal air bubble or such that seems to seperate the wax? has anyone else had this happen or have any idea what the issue may be.thanks!Mimi
ajna
Have you tried to pre heat your jars?
Candybee
Pouring too cool can create jump lines. If you are pouring at the same temp as usual it could also be a change in weather conditions.
candlelady
I use to use J50 in those very same jars and had to 1) pour at 190 or 2) heat the jars. I opted for pouring hotter and it works. Also had to make sure my pouring room wasn't cool at all, actually kinda on the warm side.HTHCarrie
Mimistarts
Thanks so much to all of you for the help.I will try to pour at a slighly higher temperature first and see if that may help. IF not will try warming the jars which i prefer to not have to take that extra step .Its just very frustrating for me as i usually poke for air release halfway into the wax setting and never really had issues like this.~ Mimi
