  1. Does anyone know if you can refill those bath & body works wall flower plug in scent diffusers with FO? I was thinking its probably the same as what comes in them? Thanks!
  2. Hello i replied to your question about my $3 fo's but i realized if you do not look at the post you won't see it.

Yes they will fit in the medium flat rate priority box.

the total would be $21.35 to mimistarts@yahoo.com

just let me know if you want and i'll package up tonight and ship out tomorrow.

    Thanks!

    Mimi

  3. I was thinking of trying couple of their fo's as they are on sale at a decent price. Was thinking of trying Pink Sugar and Warm Vanilla Sugar?
  4. Has anyone ever tried fo's from MIdwest Candle Supplies? Curious if they are good or not? Thanks! ML

  6. I tried the Moonlight Path... its not my cup of tea but a friend of mine told me it does smell like the Bath & Body works one....if that is of any help. I am about a half hour from EAC so purchased several of the sale items lately! HTH
  7. Thanks so much to all of you for the help. I will try to pour at a slighly higher temperature first and see if that may help. IF not will try warming the jars which i prefer to not have to take that extra step . Its just very frustrating for me as i usually poke for air release halfway into the wax setting and never really had issues like this. ~ Mimi
  8. i have never had this happen in the several years i've been making candles until previously....but lately on my 9 oz hex jar candles every so often i am getting "jump lines" in my candle... its like a horizontal air bubble or such that seems to seperate the wax? has anyone else had this happen or have any idea what the issue may be. thanks! Mimi
  9. found the link to usps. http://www.usps.com/communications/news/press/2006/pr06_091.htm
  10. I vote as well for the one on the right. Now you can always use 2 different fonts. I use a different font for my business name then i do for the rest of my label.
  11. i have used mottled wax before and had that same problem and then cut down on the fo a bit and used under an oz per pound. It does make a difference.
  12. i'Ve always gotten it off my countertop with just regular cleanser. i think i 'm little late though have ya already replaced it?:undecided
  13. hmm.. i use j50 which is pretty similar and i have stored container candles over a year and never had any problems. i keep them sealed either with the lid or with seal film and in the case i purchased the jars in and in my laundry room. i think in any even you want to keep them out of the light. hth!
  14. very nice ! also nice touch on the wick.. looks really cute ~
  15. i think that the rule of thumb is an hour per inch of diameter, but i wouldn't worry if it takes somewhat longer.... now if it never catches up then you definitely need to wick up ! :highfive:
  16. i always tell my customers that the first burn should be long enough to have the melt pool be the entire diameter of the candle top!.... :highfive:
  17. and oh the puddle is the excess fo! i know that happened when i used too much fo.. when i reduced it some, the excess didnt' sit on the top! hth!
  18. yep that looks like astorlite m-29 -- the mottled container wax... i used to use that!
  19. a BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who responded ! i appreciate all your help. i will take every piece of advice i can get and i figure too the first time even if just a learning experience it will be worth it. The fundraiser is for a local dancing group of about 30 families so i dont' see that the volume could get too out of hand for me to handle.... we'll see! i'll keep you all posted! thanks again!
  20. if you weigh the fo's you'll see 1 oz of the heavier thicker oils is LESS in volume then the lighter oils... :highfive: HTH...
  21. Can anyone give some quick tips on fundraising... I have been approached by a friend of one of my candle customers whether or not i would be interested... i only do tart melts and jar candles,etc.... I am interested but any info anyone can provide me with as far as pricing, etc. Do i price as i would for wholesale accounts, do they pay upfront? should i require a minimum, etc! thanks! any ideas, tips, suggestions would so kindly be appreciated!
