chrisinpa
Hi,I need help.....I have searched and searched....but I can't decide on what type of color to use for my cp soap. I'm hoping you all can give me some advice. As you can see, I need some color!!!First picture, my first batch of cp done on 2/18 scented Backwoods Blue.My first batch of CPHP done last night.:smiley2: Scented in Flicers Romance.I really like the cphp method, I think I will stick with that for now. eugenia
Those look great! Try playing with a little cocoa powder. You can get varying shades, depending on how much you add. No need to mix it with anything, just add to your soap. Start with a teaspoon and take it from there.e
Louise
They both turned out great. I love your heart stamp on your HP one. I bet they both smell wonderful too.For right now I use Ultramines and Oxides for my coloring, but soon to venture into some micas. There are also liquid dyes you can get. I would suggest getting a few of each type and see which you like best. You don't have to get them all at once, just get a couple colors of one type, try them out, and then move on to another type. You could spend a fortune on colorants.
chrisinpa
Thanks!I wanted to add:I used some wax embeds that I had for the "stamp"I made an unscented loaf...and melted 4 oz to make lots of different scented bars for my own use. I used the life of the party color I bought at Michaels to color these....it's not strong enough for cp though.also....for my mold, I used 1/2" foamboard to make a box.It insulated the soap nicely. I lined it with parchment paper.
