SatinDucky
My dear dear boyfriend built me a lightbox. This is our first try using it and we still have a lot to learn I need to drag out my iron and press the background aw well, but it's not too bad considering The orange one is sex on the beach. Jojo T.
The light box seems to be working fine - and the candles look beautiful. I could really use one of those shell/sand candles in my bathroom, they look fantastic.

SatinDucky
Thanks, they sure were fun to make too. Only problem is ya can't make anything else at the same time. Not unless ya want sand in everything...lol

kandlekrazy
Those are great pics! I love the way the all black background makes the pillars look like they are floating.
sharyl55
Great pictures. I really need a light box. Is it collapsible for storage?Love your sand candles.
SatinDucky
Great pictures. I really need a light box. Is it collapsible for storage?Love your sand candles.Actually, mine is. All the connectors fit snugly, so the 4 corner ones that hold the legs, we decided not to glue. We just rotate the legs in and it hangs flat on the wall. If you were going to use it a lot and frequently, you'd want to glue the legs too because sometimes it'll try to collapse when you start moving it around. cybersix
very nice candles and pics!! what are you using for the black background? I have a cardboard but it reflects the lights so I can't have a deep black.. maybe a piece of fabric?Congrats!
SatinDucky
That is a piece of black velvet fabric. I didn't have any poster board and the white fabric I usually use is too wrinkled. I had gotten this way back when but my camera absolutely refused to take any picture with a black background so it was stuffed in a bag for quite a while. Good thing velvet (ok, cheap imitation velvet) doesn't wrinkle easy cuz I haven't seen my iron in a couple years I picked up some blue, white and medium gray poster board last week to play with next. Donita
Good to know about velvet....or fake velvet lol.......when I had a photo area set up in Virginia I used black felt. If I used a diffuser fabric over the lights, then I could control the glare off of the felt. Some days were just better than others. I would love to have a place to do a photo shoot and be consistent. Next time at the thrift store I will look for a black velvet dress or cape or whatever looks like will work.
