caradelrae
Just wanting something to purdy up the place for the Christmas season. Scented with Christmas Eve. Smells good. Like a nice walk through the forest. Doubt I will even have the heart to burn this bad boy. Just let him come around at christmas like santa....LOL. I attempted 4 layers but the last (darkest) kinda faded into the third. Darn thats alot of wax.....

grama
Very pretty caradelrae. I wouldn't even think of attempting layers. I have to make 2 of those bad boys this weekend. That's a whopping 3lb+ Edited to ask - What did you wick yours with?
caradelrae
Thanks. I guess u can kinda see it if u squint and hold ur tongue just right...LOLThis guy weighed in at just over 6 lbs. I tried plys before and they never seem to do that well for me in pillars etc.
caradelrae
Oh my gosh, what size mold was that? I thought mine was big.I had to go measure....LOL Its 6.5" tall by 6 inches wide. When i say its over 6 lbs i mean just barely 6 lbs 1.2 oz
grama
OK - went and measured mine and it 51/2 x 5. Don't think I would want anything bigger. I dread making those. You have to wait forever for them to cool and poke & poke & poke

julwid
That is beautiful. I can smell in already sitting in my house. Someday i will attempt to make one of those when i find more time. Never enough hours in a day for me.
gerrie
I think it looks great, and I can see all the layers. I have that same mold, but have yet to pour any wax into it. When I do I can tell I better pour something I really like cause it's going to last forever I have a feeling. Is that 1343 wax, the coloring is very pretty. artcwolf
I've got the same mold and used it the other day for storage of the botched patch of wax...It held a good 6ish pounds of wax...I want to make one of them as a normal candle, but i'm scared after that thing
Donita
I think it looks great and I can see that it will last for a long time. I like the graduating layers. Very pretty for the holidays. Donita
