evesorto
I thought that this would make a good topic. At first I didn't like CS Moon Lake Musk or CS Antique Sandalwood. Now I absolutely love them.I am going to order in large size bottle. Was wondering if this happens to anyone else?Eve
ForHisGlory
So funny you would post this. I felt the same way about Moon Lake Musk, put the candle away, burned it later and liked it.
grama
OH - I love both of those. To begin with you think the antique sandalwood is not strong but then all of a sudden when you walk in the room you smell it and realize just what a great scent it is. Sharon in PA
Good thread...I felt that way awhile back about Peak Blackberry Sage, thought it smelled like cough syrup OOB, then loved it burning! Strong one, too!I'm sure there are other's I can't remember right now, but I know this has happened to me more than once...
ForHisGlory
I didn't like Merlot Wine from NG. I gave a 16 oz container to the Postmaster. One day I walked in and the whole building smelled of Merlot.I went into the office and said, "That's my candle isn't it?"She said, "Yes, I'm not supposed to be burning it in here, but it smells so good."Funny how you don't like some scents in your own home. grama
I give candles to the sitter at my mother's house. I can walk in and smell my candles there when I can't smell them at my house. My sister says my whole house smells like a candle and she can't tell one scent from another! I have had people tell me they smell them when they walk up outside. My shop is built on to my house. That's what candlenose does for you:grin2:

Casey
Brambleberry's Coconut Lemongrass. I almost tossed it. Now I love it.
Pam W
BB's Ancient Sedona - ordered a 1oz sample and it had a heavy 'green' top note which I hate so it just set for months. Got bored one day and poured it -- once it was in the wax the green smell was replaced by the other scents in the blend. Lesson learned - get it in the wax before you judge it:wink2:
SOAPFREAK
When I first started soaping I had a sweet lady send me a couple small bars of Lavender Chamomile (huggies type) from BB and Neroli from Gemlite.I sniffed them and said yuck! Now I love them.
