kw2703
Is Clover Hill Candles too close to "Clover Hill Custom Gifts and Graphic Design"? It seems that they specialize in invitations, graphic design, scrapbooking stuff and do some candles, lotions, bath and body. Their website is www.everythingunderthesunscrapbooking.com Is this too close?
sudsnwicks
Personally I'd choose something else, just to be different and more unique. But having said that, I've come across a lot of "duplicates" like this e.g. where I live there are a lot of businesses named "High Desert ___". MissMary
You might want to check and see if the part of Clover Hill is trademarked for candle and B&B as well.
kw2703
How do you check to see if it's trademarked?
kw2703
Thank you. I checked and it wasn't trademarked. I also checked domain names and it's available. I still need to brainstorm but didn't know if I needed to rule that one out right away or not.

lilredheadsis
I wish I would have done more research on names before I got my tax id #, or I would have chosen different.
kw2703
I would like to somehow incorporate my mom who passed away a few years ago. She passed away on St. Patrick's day and although it's not a pleasant day, I thought maybe I could make it a happier thought by using something related to that. Her name was Shelley but my dad's nickname for her was Shelby. She was a person who everyone liked and a die hard sports mom. My husband is in the Air Force, so right now we're traveling while training, but we'll be moving back to Ohio afterwards. That's a little background on myself. I wish I had a creative bone in my body, but unfortunately everything I come up with gets vetoed (they say it's not creative/original enough). Any ideas welcomed! tangerine
How about you stick with Clover but add something else to it -- like Mountain, Stream, Lake, etc?

Chickie1st
What about keeping your Clover Hill Candles name and then if you do Jar candles, name a classy looking Jar The Shelby, with your mothers favorite scent and color? Or if you do Pillars, maybe devote a certain type, like Mottled or Palm Feather and call it the Shelby... Just a thought.
