SoapDiva Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Well, I made some. I haven't tested them yet, I've got feelers out on my blog to test them and I have a few people in mind to test them here where I live as well. I can't wait to try one. Don't they look adorable! Quote
GrandmaArial Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 So cute! I must steal the idea for the grand daughters. Quote
Meridith Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 They look more than adorable; they look mouthwatering delicious. YUMMMMMMM!!!!! Quote
aprillee Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 they are beautiful. Don't leave them lying around. They look like the real thing. Quote
SoapDiva Posted July 2, 2007 Author Posted July 2, 2007 They look scrumptious. Are they soap?Nope, the bottom is a bubbling bath bomb, and the top is royal icing. At some point I want to master whipped soap so I can make the top a one use soap to use in the same bath.My daughter keeps forgetting that they're for the bath and keeps asking me to make yummy looking cupcakes for her to eat! The FIL almost ate one. Quote
tychels Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Wow, those look great! They look real! I have those on my list to try but like you I want to try it with the whipped soap on top.. Does the royal icing melt in the tub? Great job!! Sharon Quote
jaybyrd Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Oooo! Yummm! I see why you need the perfect packaging. Quote
Scented Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I think I gained 50 lbs just looking at them. No way they're bath cupcakes. Quote
Late Night Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Drats, now I'm hungry for cupcakes. They look so real! Quote
Hibiscus Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I try to avoid threads with delucious looking soap or B&B products but I can't help myself :embarasse those look so freakin real and sooo creamy:drool: Quote
SoapDiva Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 I tried one last week and LOVED it! I wasn't impressed with the bubbles, but we have weird water here and it takes a ton of bubble bath to get decent bubbles. The scent stayed and the icing needed a little help to dissolve, but otherwise, it was a wonderfully scented bath that left me nice and soft and smelly. Quote
soapbuddy Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 It looks soooo real!I wonder if you could whip some MP to add to the top instead of the icing?Irena Quote
SoapDiva Posted July 11, 2007 Author Posted July 11, 2007 Soapbuddy: I was originally thinking of doing that, but the husband pointed out that it would turn to mush. The air bubbles in the "lid" would absorb the water pretty fast leaving a mushy floaty thing. Although, I would love to hear from any expert soapers on it vs my husband. LOL! Quote
