Tucker, Karol used a wick pin, so there is a hole for the wick. Any primed wick will slide right in. One advantage to this method is that if the wick is not doing well, you can replace it.

I'm new at this so I hope you don't think it's a dumb question

I don't bother with wick pins. I drill the candle afterward.

Great candle. Love the color too. Good job......I've never tried drilling the candle to put the wick in, and probably won't, I'm not too good with power tools, hubby almost wouldn't let me use the heat gun :cheesy2:

It is not done with power tools. I attach a handle to a drill bit and drill it by hand. If you use a power drill, you will most likely split the candle.
