Sal_gal48
I bought a couple of Glade oil candles and am anxious to try making them. My first guess is that the "oil" is really fragrance. But what would be the ratio of oil to wax?
workingwithsoy
it looks like a tart with a wick to me..let us know how it burns and if it really smells up the house like they let on!
Pam W
If you're talking about the new one with the funny metal wick thingy -- it's ok but the replacement tarts run about a buck each --- it burned for just under 2 hrs, and the throw WAS NOT that great, the glass container is large thus creating a large melt pool . It has a nice flame that is consistant throughout the burn but to we candlemakers -- ain't worth the money. I used the wick thingy several times by setting it in my fluted tart molds and pouring my own - burned better, lasted longer and of course it smelled better. Got bored with it after a few days & just use it for a pillar holder -- it has a raised bottom so to make the pillar set straight, I did not fill in the well in the candle so it would set down over the bump. BruceCarvesWax
I think they will bomb bigtime. One of my customers today asked me if I had tried them yet, they said scent throw was good within 5 feet, after that there was no smell at all. He was really mad about it.Bruce
LindaColo
My curiousity got the better of me, and I had to try it. It had a nice flame, but the scent throw didn't impress me. I get more of a scent throw from a tart, and it lasts longer. :undecided

heather_dw
I had someone ask about them at my show this weeekend and I said that I hadn't tried them yet.I think they look weird and would just rather use my tartburner or my regular old candles :-PI DID see about a dozen or so people that actually knew what my clamshell melts were for and actually purchased some. I usually dont sell any of those!..lol People around here are getting with the times finally :-)
Scented
I have no interest in learning more about them, but the customers we've had who use it haven't been too thrilled by them. They're the ones telling us 3 hours lol. I really don't want to buy one to find out.
