Hibiscus
I have to agree that the bows are a bit too large and the hang tag is as well. It does look very country and homemade and that's what you wanted but If you scale down the bows and place them under the rim of the jar and use a label it would still look very country and home made. I mean the jar itself screams that. Were you trying to cover the rim of the jar? because I think it adds to the whole country look.
grammafransfixins
Thanks I wasn't trying to cover anything with the homespun..just added it cuz I like homespun.. LOLBut will try a few different ways and see what looks best. Thanks
Candle Man
To bad there is not a plaid printed metal lid out there, that would be great. Then use a parchment label, instead of a hang tag.
grammafransfixins
You can get plaid lids that go with jelly jars. I have seen them on jellies and such. I think Candles and Supplies has them???That would be neat
Luci
I got 4 oz jelly jars at Big Lots last year with plaid lids--red and white, blue and yellow, etc.
Candle Man
I got 4 oz jelly jars at Big Lots last year with plaid lids--red and white, blue and yellow, etc.The problem with those lids is they are a 2-piece.

northkountry
Sheila ~ We sell alot of those..We wrap the homespun around the neck also, ours is just a little bit smaller. My FIL is the tester and it was getting in his way so we had to revamp a little bit.

JulieK
Personally, I'd like to see more of the jar with just a touch of decoration instead of the other way around. Love the jar - you should show it off more.
Michi
I like the concept, but agree that I'd like to see more of the jars. How about if you made a bow or just a knotted tie and then attached it with a rubberband around the neck so you only have a touch of material in the front and it wouldn't be in the way of the lid etc.Just a thought.Plus this way you could make up a ton of bows/ties and then just assembly line attach them to the jars.
