  1. My newly poured soy candles have been "sweating" lately, but minimally. I only use 1 oz. fo per pound, but my shop has been VERY warm (ok, hot) the last few weeks. In my case, I'm sure it's the temperature, because it's certainly not fragrance overload and nothing else has changed except the air temperature/humidity.
  2. I use ecosoya pb and wick pins. I spray mold release in each one, which helps. But I still end up taking a very thin, sharp knife around the bottom of the pin - then they usually come right out without damaging the votive. For me, it seems that if I let them sit for a day or two it's even worse. I have better luck removing the wick pins when they're cool, but fresh.
  3. I've also done this before. Live and learn I guess. Be careful of just drilling and inserting a wick. The wax that spewed out had to come from somewhere, so chances are if you just wick the pillar there will be a huge air bubble in there somewhere. Might be okay for testing, but I wouldn't want to sell it that way. JMO
  4. I found the most reasonable prices at Riekes Distributing. I purchased a total of 110 dozen jars between the square mason and 9 oz. hex. Got them cheaper there than anywhere else.
  5. I agree with TexasBrat. I would use the bells for the soap as they are less likely to tip over and the bostons for the lotions. Love them both. Great labels!!
  6. Personally, I'd like to see more of the jar with just a touch of decoration instead of the other way around. Love the jar - you should show it off more.
  7. Wow. What a great job. Hope you gave him a big smooch for that!
  8. Fabulous! Absolutely beautiful.:highfive:
  9. RRD 37 for my soy votives also. They're awesome!
  10. I use 100% soy and use LX wicks exclusively - for containers and votives. Love them! Definitely get a sample pack, however.
  11. Michael: It was so nice to meet you at IGCA and share table space a couple of times!! I am a soy user and switched to Eco-Advanced the first of the year. It's awesome! Don't give up on soy yet.
