daniedb
Caroline Candle Co.Caroline CandlesWhich is easier to remember, and easier on the eyes and most appealing in terms of image? I mean, what do you think of when you see the name?UPDATE: Here are the label mockups I'm working on. Which of the two do you like better? The last one is my parent company logo, and I'm looking to make sure I stay consistent with that image.
Beth-VT
Before you possibly really start to like the first one, check with your State regarding names and what is allowed. Here, we are not allowed to use any variation of Co., Company, Inc., etc., in the business name unless you are actually incorporated. I'm not, so couldn't put Co. on the end of my name (which I had originally planned)
daniedb
Gotcha. My parent company, Henry & Co., is in the process of being incorporated, so as soon as we finish the whole deal, I'll check the other. I actually want to run it as a dba under Henry & Co., so I'll have to find out the legality of running a Co. as a dba. Thanks very much for the reminder! 7Angela7
Is Caroline standing for a name?Caroline Candle Co. sounds like a major candle company.Caroline Candles seems more like a "handmade product" name. I think I like this one better.
Indescent
I like Caroline Candle Co. better; I think it ties in extremely well with the look and presence of your parent company.
daniedb
Sweet. I'm leaning toward Caroline Candle Co as well...I'm trying, like Indescent said, to keep in line with Henry & Co., the image and look. Thanks for the opinions! debscent
I like Caroline Candle Co. very much. I agree with Indescent, it works well with the existing company. I'm imagining simplistic labeling, etc.?
sudsnwicks
I like the alliteration in Caroline Candle Co. It makes it easier to remember. It always fits in with the name of your existing co.
daniedb
debscent- yep, something very clean and simple. I think I have a mockup ready that I'm liking, and I hope it fits well with my overall image.Whee! I think we have a winner, I'm so grateful for y'all's opinions! prairieannie
I love the first design. They are both cool as heck, but the first one seems to be in keeping with the simple, classy, pure look you already have going!

Indescent
I *heart* the first one. It is perfect for the current look you have of Henry & Co. AB-FAB!!!Terrica
sharyl55
Have you checked to make sure both versions are available in your state and also if the websites are available in case you want to hae a seperate website? Like both versions.
daniedb
I have not checked yet with the state, but I have checked website availability. Many variations of the CCC are available, so I'm good there. I'll be doing the state checks and all the other dba junk next week after Labor Day is past. Thanks SO MUCH for the opinions. I'm leaning toward the first one, too...DH prefers it as well.
Scented
Here I like the second one, because the graphic causes me to pay more attention.
tlc26
guess I am the odd ball, I like the middle one. I do agree that the first one goes better with the style of the other. For whatever reason I don't like the big dot in the middle of the line, not sure why. I also think there are a few to many spaces between Candle & Company.
