AngelaVA
Don't pour too hot - the clamshell will warp. Don't overfill and spill all over the counterDon't close the lids too soon, thus bumping the not-yet-set wax and getting it all over the counter. Other than that, they are pretty fool-proof. saw
I don't check the temp...just pour a little cooler than pouring candles. If I'm pouring candles & clamshells out of the same batch, I pour candles first and then wait a few minutes before pouring into clamshells. Fire and Ice
Don't pour a straight container wax in the clamshells if your pouring soy. Mix some pillar or votive wax into the container wax before pouring.
Scented
I think you could get away pouring up to 180 in them. Going by memory, but the clamshells didn't warp on me around that temp.
SheilaW
I use a metal funnel and pour around
AngelaVA
I pour around 165-170.
WYJen
I pour between 170-180 depending on the scent and have never had warping problems. And yeah, the not pouring straight container wax is a good one too! I've tried straight soy and straight paraffin container waxes in them and just ended up with a mess! LOL
