eugenia
Finally got a couple of EO's to play with. I'm thinking Peppermint Poppy (no color). Thought was cooling and exfoliating for warmer weather. Can you tell I'm ready, LOL?e

heirloomoriginals
Sounds great! I have some spearmint that I want to play with. Maybe in some foot products as well (I hate my feet, they are always so dry and callousy). Can't wait to see the results!Steph
Meridith
I love minty scents and have done peppermint and spearmint EO in a soap. Boy is it holding its scent too. I put it some bath bombs and it rocks. It opens your nasal passages right up.

Guess that's on my "to do" list now.A little goes a long way; that was 1 T to 4 lbs of soap. They are a nice size and not too scratchy. Sherie
Wow, a little DOES go a long way. Thanks for telling me. I was wondering how scubby or abrasive the poppy seeds would be. Well darn, now I've got the itch to do poppy seeds. Did you just get them at the grocery?
sudsnwicks
Yeah, you can just get them at the grocery. Or if you think you are going to be using a lot, you can get them cheaper by the pound at most soap supply places. They are scrubby but not abrasive. The reason they are not abrasive is they are round, unlike other scrubby ingredients like oatmeal which could have sharp edges if not ground finely enough. I thought I read somewhere that peppermint can help keep the mosquitoes at bay. Not sure how many of you have mosquitoes in the summer - we get quite a lot every June. Mnhorsemom
I have not soaped with EO's yet. How much pp of oil do you use with EO? I really ike your peppermint poppy. I did a lemongrass with poppy seeds MP when I first got into this kind of stuff and it turned out nice.
sudsnwicks
In general 0.5 oz per lb of oils. But you can go up or down depending on how strong it is.
