  3. i only use eo's in my soap. i LOVE them! i get mine from essential oil university also. they are great, reasonably priced and quick ship!

  5. my nephew made the chunk votives in class (3rd grade). they picked out their chunks, dropped in dixie cups and poured the wax in. he was so proud of it!
  6. i don't give details...i get my supplies from all over. my essential oils come from ohio, etc... it does really irk me that friends and family can't support my little home business. i usually sell it to them at cost anyway...maybe that is my problem.

  8. i am a stay at home mom who homeschools two boys. i do soap and candles part time, but think about it full time.
  9. i love oo for moisturizing... interesting, i didn't know soap lathered different in salt water. here in kentucky i just have pond water. ok, i have to experiment now....salt water, tap water, water softened water, distilled water, pond scum water. great experiment for my kids.
  10. just wondering how many of you do fund raisers? if you do...what has your experience been? what type of jars? how many scents do you offer? how much so you sell them for and what do you recommend they sell for? do you have a minimum? thanks alot!

  12. they look great! two ?'s....what is the best way to seal the bucket seams? and what do you mean by braiding a few wicks together, bruce? is it just as it sounds...braid two or three together?? thanks!

  14. they look great! i'll have to try drilling my hole at the top like that...i have been drilling 6oz bars down long way. it was a pain to get the rope all the way through some of them. i got some great rope in the boat section at walmart...cheap!

  16. my teenage boys freak when they see sugar on the countertop...."what is it mom, is it lye"? and yes,i have been more 'careful' since i saw the lye spilled on the little boy head...makes me shutter to think about it again.
  17. anyone use the infared digital thermometers for checking the temp of their wax? my husband has one that he uses at work...i thought i might steal it. any thoughts on them...? thanks!
  18. do you prime and tab your own wicks or do you use the pre-tabbed waxed wicks? what is your preference?
  19. scents and more....you mentioned to post on the 'bluegrass message board'. do you mean the one on 'their' site? i tried to pm you but i guess i don't have enough post to do that yet...? thanks for your replies. slow shipping won't matter to me...i will be picking it up. i'll let you know my experience when i visit them...hope to in a few weeks. i'm still getting my 'ducks' or should i say 'wicks in a row' before i purchase. i want to have all my questions ready for them!
  20. peppermint eo is one of my best sellers. i have put poppyseeds in my lemongrass and my orange lemon soap, but never thought of putting it in peppermint. peppermint poppy just rolls off your tongue...i love it!
