ebarnes
Im using a dye from a company that I love but the dye is so concentrated and the jars are messy and the colors are difficult to mix. I have one jar from Peaks (red dye) and its soooo easy to use. It ask for one drop and I deliver. With the other company one drop equals about 3-4 b/c the dye pours out of the dropper before I can squeeze it.
Candle Man
It could be good dye just bad type bottle it is in. You could (being very carleful and wear gloves & funnel) pour the dye into an eye dropper bottle. In the furture when you buy dye check the packaging (bottle) it comes in. Buy dye in the kind of bottle you like to use. That way it works the best for you.
Bev
I buy my dye from Lonestar. They come in glass bottles with droppers. Easy to use and very concentrated.
ebarnes
I have one soooo strong it melted the rubber around the dropper.
Grannyscandles
I use the dyes from Taylored concepts and the old Chermark Dyes. Both in glass bottles with droppers and highly concentrated. I am still using on bottles I bought 3 years ago!
Sharon in KY
Same here, I use http://www.rusticescentuals.com/ who bought out Chermark dyes. I find these are my favorite, color hues are really good and they come in glass bottles with the glass dropper top. You can buy extra dropper bottles from them if you want to transfer some dyes you have. I did this with the Pryme dyes. They last forever, very concentrated. Also like their glitter. mystical_angel1219
You can buy dropper bottles from Candlechem on Ebay.I like the liquid dyes from Tri State, even in soy they rock.If you get any kind of dye on your fingers or counters~ spray some Goo Gone on them and its history. Jordan
We have Lone Star's liquid dyes and recently switched to Barnloft Candles Pryme dyes. They are nice dyes, and don't cause as much frosting in soy.www.barnloftcandles.com
ebarnes
I need to buy a variety of dyes (each color) right now Im trying to make my own colors (orange = Red & Yellow). There are only 6 basic colors that I need, green, red, blue, brown, yellow & purple. This mixing does not work for me, besides I want to be consistent. SoyKandles
I guess I'm the odd ball!! I use powdered dyes from BC & Pourette. I have to mix colors, but have the recipes written down. Powdered dyes are suppose to not frost soy as much either. HTH
Tallbabydoll
I use dyes from Alabaster. Great quality. I don't like the bottles though. So I take off the top and use a skewer, dip the tip in the dye, then into my wax, repeat as necessary. Works great, no spills, rarely overdye my wax, and they have over 30 colors to chose from.
