Research has suggested that 185 to 190 F tends to be the most optimal, and that anything over that and you start to loose FO. Is this true? if so, how can I add FO to palm wax if my pour temperature is supposed to be between 200 and 210 F? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
TallTayl Posted May 15, 2023 Share Posted May 15, 2023 Palm needs to be poured very hot to develop the beautiful crystals. I heat to the 210 (or whatever temp the particular blend needs) and add FO right away. Good candle FO doesn’t lose potency with typical commercial wax pour temp.
