Dolphin146
I have 2 cases of the old Ecosoya PB wax that have never been open and have been stored in a cool dry place for a few years now Do think it's still good I know after I use these up I'm going to have to find a new wax to use which I'm am not happy about Ive been thinking about tring the new PB but I have heard mixed reviews about it Also anyone ever try the Just Scent 50-50 pillar votive wax.it's half soy and half paraffin wax. Thanks
Sebleo
You may be able to find that info on Ecosoya’s website. I think, generally speaking, it’s usually 1-2 years if kept in optimal conditions. And that’s a ‘best buy’ date more than an expiration date. So, the wax may still make a good or decent candle but not as good as when it was within that 1-2 year time frame. I also have some old PB wax but mine has been opened. It is probably....7-8 years old!
kandlekrazy
If it doesn't seem like it has dried out it probably will still work. I'd just try a small batch to see but you can usually tell by feel if it dried at all.
TallTayl
You’ve struck solid gold there. Some of my favorite wax is several years old. Give it a go. Just don’t fall in love, or even serious like, lol. the older waxes are still some of the best.
Candybee
I agree, I'm sure its just fine as long as its been stored properly. If it looks and smells okay when you open the box then its probably okay. I have some leftover original J wax for pillars. Its so old I don't even remember the name of the wax. Its still good and I hoard it for myself only!!! Dolphin146
Thanks everyone I checked the wax and it's still good. Going to try and make melts out of it. I'll let you know how it goes
Dolphin146
Changed my mind about making melts with this wax cause they dont sell it anymore. I'm going to use it for firestarters instead
