jackbenimble
Hi there! I’m lookin looking for a great pear FO that works great in soy wax. I’ve tried PEAKS Bartlett Pear in the past and while it’s good it takes awhile to get a medium HT from it. Anyone tried Filmore’s French Pear? I’ve seen that one. Jcandleattic
The pear I liked best was Grow a Pear from Mad Oils (now Arizona Candle Supply) but it is very pricey, and above my pay grade. LOL It's more complex than Peak's Bartlett Pear was. Those are the only 2 pears I've used, and never in soy, just paraffin and soap. Both did well, but the GAP lasted a bit longer and was a bit stronger in my soaps that the BP
Candybee
I'm using Lebermuth's Perfect Autumn Pear. Got it at The Chemistry Store. Liked it so much I use it now instead of Peaks Bartlett Pear. But I have not put it in wax. I use it for soapmaking. Its a dream in soap! marty
I am using French Pear from Fillmore Container. It's one of the best oils ever. I use Golden Brand 444 Soy way and it throws like crazy. this is the first oil that I get that after the candle is unlit, the smell stays in the room for quite a while. Love it.
