Amy S
Does any one use such a mold? I love how the candle looks here but don't know what wax will work best for a delicate design like this.http://www.ebay.com/itm/New3D-Silicone-Soap-Molds-Moulds-rose-ball-3-cav-1-2oz-/300563408464?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45faf9a650
Old Crab
4794 or 4786 should work fine, not sure on the size of the molds but are you going for decoration or for tarts?4794 is a touch softer than 4786 if you are thinking of decoration. loveandlight
I've never used it, but I read Ecosoya PB might be good for things like this.
Candybee
Ecosoya would work but tends to frost badly with some colorants. The first wax I thought of was paraffin. But really any good tart/pillar blend wax will do.
Amy S
Well I got the mold and tried making the candle with ecosoya pb. The results were disappointing as the wax is too brittle.
EvyStar
That's a shame! You have just saved me some money though as I was going to buy some ecosoya pb wax this weekend to try it out myself. I bought similar moulds a couple of weeks ago. I just love how the candle look with this mould.
ChrisR
Amy I don't use that wax, but if it's too brittle, add a little bit of container wax, that should help a lot.
Amy S
I did two tests. One with straight pb and no FO and another one with the FO. Without the FO the candle looks good but not 100 % perfect. One or two roses break a little here and there. But by adding the FO, the wax turned too brittle and the candle didn't look good. So I added half soy container wax. But the container wax didn't make much of a difference. Now I am thinking of trying paraffin wax.
