  1. Has anyone come across great deals for wax and FO? AH/RE has a 10%ish off. Was hoping for free shipping, no minimum!
  2. I haven't tried it with USA but plain Advanced didn't work for me...way too little throw in my tarts, even with 12% FO load compared to other waxes.
  3. That's great to know, thanks for the info Steve. They do look super pretty but knowing the process makes it a pain for me to even try! Lol
  4. Don't think they have one of those around me but I LOVE LOVE LOVE how some of the upscale hotels have fragrances piped in throughout.
  5. Nice!!! I'm looking to make something like that for my homemade holiday melts. Love the pic
  6. The BHG ones, IMO, have excellent HT. I've had mine last 6-8 hours on average, with super strong throw. After that, the scent dissipates rapidly. Has anyone noticed a sort of chemical smell off the melts? They smell very synthetic to me.
  7. No shrinkage here with the 6006, you might want to try different pouring temps.
  8. Very nice...I've yet to try votives but they're on my list. Love the color you used!
  9. That's a great idea w/the half melts for testing.
  10. Thank you both, ChandlerWicks and Georgia
  11. Nice!!! I wish I had that much space.
  12. I've bought some from her too and she was great w/communication and turnaround. Fragrances were 7.5/8 out of 10 in terms of strength.
  13. I've never used it, but I read Ecosoya PB might be good for things like this.
  14. I wouldn't make tea lights for $, I think if anything, they'd be great add ons if you have a larger candle business and customers could try out your tea lights as samplers before purchasing a full size candle. Just my business perspective.
  15. I know many of you are experienced chandlers and from reading past posts, it seems like the consensus is that curing the candle will help its HT. Do you believe in curing in general? Why or why not? I'm curious if there's an actual scientific explanation.
  16. Hi everyone, where do you get your labels for clamshells? I'm making some to give away for the holidays (hoping I'll get a good formula down in the next couple of weeks ) and want to do a cute label that I can customize. Thanks
  17. I just bought some of the PB blend and am going to let them cure for a week. Good luck
  18. Thanks for the great post! I hope you post pictures, I'd love to see how the pillars turn out
  19. Thank you everyone for your replies. I feel a little bit better, I was definitely using the wrong wicks bc they would drown out and I'd fish them out, start over again, and get frustrated. *waves fist at candle* @Vernie - thanks for the tip, I will try it again at that temp with my new wood wicks. @Node - good luck! I hope it goes well @marcuset - thanks for the wishes @jbrooks - I agree, the wicking is a PITA @chuck - thank you SO much for the breakdown! I'll take a look at the Clarus and wick recs
