QTsmum
Do you have to change the name of all 'type' fragrances?
doglvr
I wouldn't think so because there are plenty of sites that offer name brands like Autumn Lodge and Japanese Cherry Blossom, but I'd love to know the "for sure" answer to this too! classiccandle
I would think you do have to change them, especially if the original has the trademark symbol with it. Or, you could take the position my wife does which is, "It's easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission".
kandlekrazy
Our attorney said we need to put the word "type" next to the name if you don't change it and never use their logo's or pictures (example: don't use Creamsicle's logo on those candles/melts) Some companies may still have a prob with it.Satsuma is an actual orange name so wouldn't think they have the rights to that one. This applies to big companies copies not just fragrance oil names. Edited September 10, 2013 by kandlekrazy
QTsmum
Ok, awesome! Thanks! I'll just add the 'type' to the dupes then! And for now, as for the labels I've already done, I'll go the forgiveness route. LOL!
