  1. Did anyone get the letter from RE introducing their move to a new "home?" Their new home is WSP along with other members Crafter's Choice, Just Scent, and Elements. I looked at RE as I have alot of their oils and prices presently are about the same as they have been, but I worry they will skyrocket and am I ever sunk if they do. I looked at Crafter's Choice fragrance oils and could not believe the prices. Over 8.00 for a 2 oz. sample. That is insane! Are their oils that good? They are right up there with Sweetcakes and I had to give up Hotel Costas years ago because of the cost of the oil. My order came to 89.00 and shipping was free. Does anyone know if prices increases will be a concern now that places are joining this group? This smells so bad of "big comglomerate" and that is not usually good. Anyone have any info on what is going on? Thanks
  2. I've tried a dozen different scent samples at least. One is sooooo close, but a little too much pine. Sweater Weather from Lone Star. My sample tart was melting when my daughter came over and she asked if Rocky Mountain Christmas was going. I'm not getting a great throw (not too bad) in my wax, but it could just be my wax as that happens with many that people on here say are great for them. If someone tries this and can figure out what's missing or you perfect it, let us know!
  3. They cancelled that one (my favorite) and Patchouli Honey, Ginger Lime, and others I have always used. They told me their sister company (and I don't remember the name, sorry) might carry something similar. I did look, but holy cow, a one ounce sample was 8.00!! Buying the larger sizes was equally as ridiculous in price. What a shame.
  4. Three of my favorite scents are from there: Campfire Memories, Fireside Marshmallows, and Golden Oaks. Golden Oaks will blow the doors off. Everyone loves that one. Good company!
  5. I don't make tarts to sell anymore, just for my own use. Just Scent Cinnamon Fire Y Type is the strongest (not sweet) smelling cinnamon I've ever found. I never deviate from this because it's so good and strong. One tart can fill a room in less than ten minutes and it lasts for a good 12 hours or more. It's wonderful.
  6. With this particular vendor (this happened to me also) shipping will be added for each item as you put it in your cart. When you order a large quantity, they prefer you email them and not order from the site (or they used to anyway) and they will give you a shipping price and then pay by invoice sent to you. Contact them asap and let them know what happened. They have been great to work with in the past and I'm sure it will be resolved for you.
  7. This will get repackaged and go back to Target.
  8. Not to worry about this thing as any kind of competition. I got one at Target today. The warmer was 14.99 and very pretty. It came with a disc. This is some kind of a vinyl perhaps filled with fragrance oil that is supposed to release scent once the light is turned on. The light is very tiny and the disc circles this light bulb. Five hours ago I turned this on and I am still waiting for scent. First I put in the vanilla that came with it and nothing happened. So then I tried the Apricot Agave I bought and two hours now for this one and nothing. Seriously. I can smell it if I stand directly over it and put my nose inside the warmer. This "might" scent a tiny, tiny bathroom but I would have my doubts even about that. It isn't rocket science, so I can't be doing anything wrong that I'm aware of. I can see people buying this out of curiosity, but I sure wouldn't see any repeat buying of the discs and this warmer can't be used for anything else other than a pretty night light. so Long Live the Tart!! Yeah!!
  9. They weren't in the Albuquerque stores yet when he looked yesterday, so today I'll run into our little Target here. I doubt they will be in my little town, but stranger things have happened. They can be ordered online.
  10. They are sold in Target stores apparently. I have a friend in Albuquerque getting one today and (if he can find them) he will report back later on what he thinks about the strength and throw, etc. Apparently it's some kind of plastic or vinyl filled with scented oil that doesn't melt, but releases with the heat of the lcd light beneath it. If they are good, for 3 bucks to get 50 hours of scent compared to a scent shot for about a buck fifty that might give you 12-14 hours, they would be pretty popular I think along with no shipping to pay. We'll see though. I hope he can find them and I can give a report later.
  11. Oops, I guess they are only available right now online at Target, so he won't be getting one for review. Darn.
  12. I've got a friend getting one tomorrow, so I'll let everyone know what he thinks about throw, etc.
  13. Found it at Target online. 2.99 per disc for 50+ hours of scent or 4/12.99. Lots of warmers with decent prices.
  14. Well... more competition for the wax melt. Anyone seen these? http://www.westinghousewarmer.com/#!untitled/zoom/mainPage/image1ska They are available at Target and I haven't seen them. I can't find any prices on this website. Each disc has 50+ hours of scent and many people will like the idea of no hot wax that can be spilled. If anyone knows how much the discs are, let us know.
  15. I KNEW there was a good reason to keep mine maxed out! I just knew it!! No one can charge anything on mine at the moment.... LOL So sorry this happened to all of you
  16. I see now, but I wouldn't have known to do that and might have given up thinking the site wasn't working. There is the "add to cart" button there, but with no way to make a scent selection without once again clicking on the clamshell line (which should be highlighted maybe to give you a hint to do that.) As a customer, I would be lost. Any way to correct that maybe? The "sort by" doesn't seem to serve a purpose. I would try and make it as easy as possible and try to follow what people are accustomed to when ordering. I don't want to criticize, don't get me wrong, but I truly think this is confusing. I love the everlasting photo candle! What a great idea and not something I see very many places. I bet you're excited to get this up and going! Congratulations!
  17. very nice and clean looking! When I went to the clamshells though, there was no way to select a fragrance - no drop down fragrance listing. There is a "sort by" box but it didn't lead anywhere?
  18. Old Glory, I think you probably understand quite well. Thanks for all your encouraging words. My motto has always been where there's a will there's a way, so it will get figured out in the end, I hope.
  19. Yes Sue Ellen, husbands are challenging at times (I'm sure they say the same thing.) There is no way I could get married again after being single 25 years. Oh my! One thing I might suggest before more time goes by is voice your opinions and wants and needs now. It's so much harder to try and change things later and then resentment has built up. So many of my women friends are not fearful per say, but reluctant I guess is the more correct term because they don't want to rock the boat. For several of them now though, not speaking up over time, their boat is sinking.
  20. Old Glory, being a single gal myself I can so relate. Working a full time job and trying to work in getting a business going has been a struggle. Three years ago I was ready to launch and then became the caregiver to my uncle who lived down the road. This included stopping before work and after work to take his meds, bring his meals, do his shopping, etc. I put my business on hold. When he passed away I thought MY TIME had come, but in that timespan my mom has become him and once again I'm shopping for her groceries, taking her to appts, stopping by to make sure she eats. I realize that if I put it on hold again it's likely never going to happen, so I struggle between my own selfishness (and necessity as this was to supplement retirement down the road) and the family demands of my time. I know there should be no choice and I hope people don't think terribly of me, but oh my it's hard to let go of a dream. I fear that if many years go by I will then become her. I guess that's just how time marches on. Right now I'm searching for a balance for all of it to happen and fall into place along with my job. It might mean moving her in with me and after living alone for twenty years, that's going to be an adjustment as well. Oh my goodness, listen to me airing my pity party in public. Sorry you guys, kind of down today about it all. We all have our struggles and some are so much worse, I know that. Thanks for listening.
  21. Can you post a link or a picture? I'm not sure who CTW is to go look. Thanks!
  22. I ended up remelting it and pouring into a 9x12 metal pan (much easier to release) and then it worked well. This will be nice little gifts for friends and family, so thanks for sharing! They will be getting a lot of pumpkin souffle' shortly
  23. I ended up remelting it and poured it into a metal 9x12. I haven't tried getting it out yet. This will be great as a nice little gift for my friends and family. There's going to be a lot of pumpkin souffle' to spread around soon now!
  24. I got it out! It is beautiful, but I realize I poured it way too thick. Had to hammer the soap cutter through it. Next time I will use a metal pan and only go about an inch thick or maybe a little more. The way I did it, I will have to cut them very small so not much of the pattern is going to show on the top. Might just remelt it and experiment again. What a great idea and thanks for sharing.
  25. Well, my first attempt at doing this hasn't gone great. What material pan did you pour into? I poured into a square glass pan, but it's not coming out of there anytime soon... LOL. I put it in the freezer, ran the blow dryer all over it, and now it's sitting in front of a little heater and hopefully far enough away it won't melt the pattern. Should I not have poured into glass? Or maybe used some kind of release spray? Next time I will try metal that has a little give to it. I have a feeling I'll be scooping this out in a minute here!
